Course Objective:
This course would introduce the students to Forensic Science and its role in the investigative system. The students
would be appraised about the functions and principles of Forensic Science, its historical development and the
different types of evidences encountered in the field of Forensic Science. They would also acquire knowledge
regarding functions and services provided by the Forensic Laboratories.
Course Outcome:
The students would understand the growth and development of Forensic Science in India, the setup of the Forensic
Science Laboratory and the functions of the various divisions of the Laboratory. The students would understand the
Law of evidence and some important sections of IPC, CrPC and IEA.
