SAP was used as the source of project actual costs. Process was developed in
clarity with below gel scripts as steps of the process. Process was scheduled in
Clarity to run every night.

To read data from tab separated file & update the temporary table with data:
This step will read data from tab separated file extract & populate the temp
table. This script will archive the import file as well as create the log file
entries.
To add new Resources to projects: Project team members that do not exist as
resources in Clarity will be created in Clarity with the limited information
available in the interface. Project team members will be allocated to
projects when they are created in Clarity.
To develop import actuals adapter using gel :
This will run once in a month on specified date and import financial actuals
of previous month from sap-extract into clarity. This will also check for
actuals which are older than six months & if any found those will be deleted.
Creation Of Cost Plan:
The current actuals and plan of record for each project will be converted to
the project cost plan. This will also run once in a month.
