 All the fields that appear in an e-mail and which were discussed on 17th July,
should be incorporated in the e-mail
 The subject should be appropriate
 The text has to be concise with no repetitions. Also it must justify the action
requested for

Topic 1: [Roll No’s: 1 -20]


You had fallen seriously sick, as a result you were advised a bed rest by your consulting
physician. Due to this absence from the Institute, you have fallen short of attendance
and have not been able to appear for examinations. A committee at the Institute,
consisting of faculty members, is reviewing your case. You have been asked to justify
on the above to be able to continue with your PGDM curriculum for 2019-21.
Write an e-mail giving your justification and why your absence should be condoned and
you be allowed to continue your studies in the course you have joined!!

Topic 2: [Roll No’s: 21 – 40]


You had applied at NDIM, Delhi. You cleared all the stages including the interviews. You
also went ahead and deposited INR 1,00,000 as an advance.

You had also applied to Jaipuria Institute, Noida and their results were delayed. You
have now been advised that you stand selected and have been advised to pay the 1st
instalment immediately.
Write an e-mail to NDIM, Delhi requesting them to refund the amount of INR 1,00,000,
paid as an advance, amply justifying the reason for withdrawal!!

Topic 3: [Roll No’s: 41 – 61]


You, with your team of 3 friends, have an excellent idea of saving water at the campus.
You feel the idea is implementable at a moderate cost. “Water conservation” being the
call of the day, you wish to present the proposal to the Director of the Institute. Please
write an e-mail to the Director, Dr. D N Pandey, requesting for an appointment and
explaining reasons and justification for the meeting. Your e-mail should be persuasive
enough so that you are called upon immediately for a discussion.
