Questions 30 - 31 are about the following explanation

All butterflies have "complete metamorphosis". To grow into an adult they go some through its stages
and each stage has a different goal.

A butterfly starts life as a very small, round, oval or cylindrical egg. The coolest thing about butterfly
eggs, especially monarch butterfly eggs, is that if you look close enough you can actually see the tiny
caterpillar growing inside of it. Butterfly eggs are usually laid on the leaves of plants, so if you are
actively searching for these very tiny eggs, you will have to take some time and examine quite a few
leaves in order to find some.

When the egg hatches, the caterpillar will start his work and eat the leaf they were born onto. This is
really important because the mother butterfly needs to lay her eggs on certain type of leaf which the
caterpillar will eat - each type of caterpillar likes only certain types of leaves. Since they are tiny and
cannot travel to a new plant, the mother caterpillar needs to hatch its egg on the kind of leaf it wants to
eat. Caterpillars need to eat and eat so they can grow quickly. When a caterpillar is born, they are
extremely small. When they start eating, they instantly start growing and expanding. Their
exoskeleton (skin) does not stretch or grow, so they grow by "molting" (shedding the outgrown skin)
several times while it is growing.

The pupa stage is one of the coolest stages of a butterfly's life. As soon as a caterpillar has reached its full
length or weight, it changes itself into a pupa, also known as a chrysalis. This is the stage of developing.

Finally, when the caterpillar has fully grown adult if you are lucky, you will see an adult butterfly
emerge. When the butterfly emerges from the chrysalis, both of the wings are soft and folded against
its body. The butterfly will be able to fly after the blood circulation reaches its wings.

30. The text is about ....

A. the growth of a butterfly

B the characteristics of a butterfly

C. the lifecycle of a butterfly

D. fully grown butterfly

E. the reproductive system of a butterfly

31. What will happen if the caterpillar has reached its full weight and length? It will ....

A. lay eggs

B. start eating

C. search for food

D. form a chrysalis

E. emerge a beautiful butterfly

An old man named Takahama lived in a little house behind the cemetery of the temple of Sozanji. He was
extremely amiable and generally liked by his neighbors, though most of them considered him to be a
little mad. His madness, it would appear, entirely rested upon the fact that he had never married or
evinced desire for intimate companionship with women.

One summer day he became very ill, so ill, in fact, that he sent for his sister-in-law and her son. They
both came and did all they could to bring comfort during his last hours. While they watched, Takahama
fell asleep; but he had no sooner done so than a large white butterfly flew into the room and rested on
the old man's pillow. The young man tried to drive it away with a fan; but it came back three times, as if
loath to leave the sufferer.

At last Takahama's nephew chased it out into the garden, through the gate, and into the cemetery
beyond, where it lingered over a woman's tomb, and then mysteriously disappeared. On examining the
tomb the young man found the name "Akiko" written upon it, together with a description narrating how
Akiko died when she was eighteen. Though the tomb was covered with moss and must have been
erected fifty years previously, the boy saw that it was surrounded with flowers, and that the little water
tank had been recently filled.
When the young man returned to the house he found that Takahama had passed away, and he returned
to his mother and told her what he had seen in the cemetery. "Akiko?" murmured his mother. "When
your uncle was young he was betrothed to Akiko. When Akiko left this world, your uncle resolved never
to marry, and to live ever near her grave. For all these years he has remained faithful to his vow, and kept
in his heart all the sweet memories of his one and only love. Every day he went to her grave and prayed
for her happiness, swept the tomb and set flowers there. When Takahama was dying, and he could no
longer perform his loving task, Akiko came for him. That white butterfly was her sweet and loving soul."

Dear sir /madam,

I am writing to complain about an article in last Monday’s newspaper. “Schools fail low-income children.”
As the head teacher of one of the largest junior high schools in the city, I feel strongly that the article
does not describe our school.

My school has children from many different economic backgrounds, but a large percentage come from
lower-income families. Nevertheless, our tests show that the children do well and benefit from the
excellent work our teachers do. Last year our school moved from 24th to 5 th place according to the
official assessment by the state government. This is clearly not the “failure” that the article suggests.

I would strongly recommend that more careful research should be conducted in the future so that your
newspaper will more realistically describe the true situation in our schools.

Yours sincerely

Joan Gonzale

Promoting Tourism: Good or Bad?

Lots of tourists visit our town, but many people argue whether this is good or bad for the community.
Each side has their own viewpoints.

Those in favor of the tourist industry argue that tourism brings money to the town and creates
employment. Business owners also supports this saying that tourism promotes development in town.
Moreover, everyone benefits from having better facilities and more shops. Others also argue that
tourism develops a better understanding of other cultures so people become more tolerant.

People against tourism, however, say that most of tourist’s dollars are spent in international hotels
owned by foreign interest groups. Consequently, the town receives little financial benefit. In addition,

Pros and Cons of Savings Account

The traditional way to save money for families and individuals was to put your money into savings
account, and then allow it to grow interest from there. Times have changed, and now some people think
that the savings accounts that we once used and loved aren't as valuable to us anymore.

Savings accounts are fundamental money management tools that can help you meet your long- and
short-term financial needs. Knowing the pros and cons of savings accounts can help you figure out how
to use them effectively.

The most obvious advantage of a saving account is that deposited funds accrue interest over time.
Money under your mattress or in a home safe misses out on valuable earning potential. The rate you
earn depends on where you deposit your money. Online banks tend to offer more competitive interest
rates because their overhead expenses are lower than those of brick-and-mortar banks. Another
important advantage is security. When you place your money in a bank, the government insures it up to
the maximum amount allowed by law. So, compared to a number of other options, your money is safe in
a savings account.

Compared with certificates of deposit (CDs) and other higher-interest bank products, savings accounts
generally pay a lower rate of interest. In other words, the interest that you get on your money saved is
very low. If you're willing to keep your money deposited for a specific time period—anywhere from a few
months to a few years, depending on what you choose—you generally can earn more interest with a CD
than with a savings account. Some banks charge fees on their savings accounts. Be sure to compare the
terms of different banks and look for those that offer savings accounts with no monthly maintenance
fees.

Saving money for the future is an essential part of making responsible financial decisions. It’s worth your
time to weigh the pros and cons before deciding on a savings account that works for you.

tornado picking up red dust and mixing it with water to make red rain"

Kak, kok soal jawabanya gak bener? Banyak flawnya!!! Tolong difix lah!!! Ini nanti bisa efek sama orang
yang mau UNBK 2019 besok... hadeh

Contoh

Nomor 17

Kurang tau tapi kayaknya gak dimention mengenai identity card di teks tsb... minimal kalau invitation ya
reasonable (KAYAK HOTS gitu)
Nomor 21 seharusnya red dust dan water... KOK MALAH JADI AIR LAUT

Nomor 22 harusnya the life (E) bukan childhood karena ini membahas semua isi teks tsb (THE TEXT TELLS
ABOVE bukan PARAGRAPH 1 MAINLY TELLS ABOUT)

Nomor 24 seharusnya announced (E) kok edited????
