COURSE DISCRIPTION-

This course designed to assist students to develop a broad understanding of fundamental principles, concept, trends & issues related to
education & nursing education. Further, it would provide opportunity to students to understand, appreciate & acquire skills in teaching
& evaluation, curriculum development, implementation, maintenance of standard & accreditation of various nursing educational
program.

COURSE OBJECTIVES-

At the end of the course, students will be able to:-

1. Explain the aims of education, philosophies ,trends in education & health, its impact on nursing education ,
2. Describe the teaching learning process,
3. Prepare & utilize various instructional media & method in teaching learning process,
4. Demonstrate competency in teaching, using various instructional strategies,
5. Critically analyze the existing nursing education program, their problem, issues & further trends.
6. Describe the process of curriculum development, the need & methodology of curriculum changes, innovation & integration,
7. Plan & conduct continuing nursing education program,
8. Critically analyze the existing teaching preparation program in nursing,
9. Demonstrate skill in guidance & counseling,
10. Describe the problem & issues related to administration og nursing curriculum including selection & organization of clinical
experience,
11. Explain the development of standard & accreditation process in nursing education program,
12. Identify research priorities in nursing education,
13. Discuss various models of collaboration in nursing education & service,
14. Explain the concept, principles, steps, tools & technique of evaluation,
15. Construct, administer & evaluate various tools for assessment of knowledge, skill, & attitude.
