Filipinos have strong family ties where family interests are prioritized over individual needs. Elders provide guidance and an individual's behavior reflects on their entire family. There are three levels of traditional healthcare - folk doctors who provide herbal remedies, faith healers who perform spiritual healing, and shamans who communicate with spirits.
