Vastu Tips for Attached Bathroom and Toilet

11 Things You MUST DO
1. Water closet (commode) should preferentially be aligned to North-South axis in toilet.
2. Build toilets in West or North-West side of north of a room depending upon whether toilet is
with bedroom or separate.
3. Toilets can also be constructed on South side.
4. Place commode inside the toilet in West, South or North-West side of West.
5. Fit the pot, in toilet, in such a way that while using the commode the person never faces East
or West.
6. Construct toilet 1-2 feet higher than ground level.
7. You can have entrance door of the toilet on East or North wall.
8. The flooring of toilet should slope towards East or North so that water drains from these
sides.
9. Store water, taps etc. in East, North or North-East.
10. Color walls of toilet as desired, but prefer light colors.
11. Provide a small window in the toilet in East, West or North wall

1. Do not have water closet, in toilet, above or under pooja room, fire or bed place.
2. Avoid toilets in center, North-East or South-West corners of home.

both look good to me.. In the West facing one I can

see that there's a NE bedroom.. a married couple or a
couple who wish to become parents, an unmarried
girl should not use that bedroom. NE bedroom can be
used as an unmarried son's bedroom, guest bedroom,
room for elderly people.

Hi Vaastu Guru,

My master bed room toilet is at the south east direction (in 2

Floor) above my kitchen (in 1st Floor) of my duplex house.
Can't attach pics here as it gives error that I need to be
logged in though I am. As I read through one of the
remedies, I have pasted wall tiles showing fire resemblance
(candle tiles) however after occupying this house, I keep
spending money here and there for various necessary and
probably unnecessary needs. Can you suggest a good remedy
and/or to comply with the rules and regulations of vastu
shastra for toilet @ SE direction?

Is there just 1 bedroom in this house? If yes, then you

need to get a local vastu expert to apply remedies as
that bedroom is above the kitchen.. Also get the slope
and energy levels of the plot checked. you can also get
feng shui applied to SW bathroom.

I went through most of the pages on your site. Thanks for

providing this useful information.

I am building a new house and on the ground floor I ended

up keeping only one bedroom (for parents).

Now, I am stuck how to incorporate an attached washroom

(bath + toilet) with this bedroom.

I am uploading the plan I designed and marking 3 positions

(A, B and C). Please suggest, where it would be better to keep
the washroom. (I have kept North-East of the house
completely free from construction.)

Please note that I want to keep a Pooja-Area in the Family-

Lounge (You may suggest If I can keep it anywhere else).

case, to not have the bathroom towards NE and have
it near the SW bedroom. Get the SE staircase
remedied.
