How to Install Enterprise Connect in Windows 7
Prerequisites
You will need the Microsoft .Net Framework version 4.0 (you check in your installed programs).
If you do not have this installed, please download the following file and install it:
dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe
Note: Before beginning the install, close all Office and Outlook windows.
Install Enterprise Connect
Download the msi file from Livelink:
EnterpriseConnect_Win7_64bit.msi
Run the program to begin the install
1. On the Welcome page, click Next.
2. On the License Agreement page, review the license agreement, select the I accept the terms in the
License Agreement check box to accept the agreement, and then click Next.
3. On the Custom Setup page, use the default settings. This will include the following options:
• Outlook Client
• Explorer Client
• Office Client
Note:
• If the prerequisites for a client integration are not installed, the integration will not be available
for selection.
• By default, Enterprise Connect Viewer is installed with support for common file formats such as
Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, RTF, PDF, ZIP, text files, JPEG, and raster images.
4. On the Ready to Install page, click Install.
5. On the InstallShield Wizard Completed page, click Finish.
Note:
• If you are installing on Windows 7, you are required to restart the system after installation is
complete.
Configuration
Start Enterprise Connect
Open the Options window by selecting Enterprise Connect/Manage Plug-ins.
Select “New”
Enter an ID (must be one word, ex: cdms)
Enter a name (ex: CDMS)
Enter the URL with the following format:
https://<livelink url>/livelink/livelink.exe?func=ngd.ucroot
For Livelink CDMS instance, enter:
https://cdms.app.alcatel-lucent.com/livelink/livelink.exe?func=ngd.ucroot
Select OK
Select OK again.
