DLP 4th2

This document provides a detailed lesson plan format for a 7th grade mathematics lesson on posing statistical questions. The lesson plan outlines the learning competency, key concepts, objectives, content, learning resources, procedures, assessment, assignment, and reflections. The procedures section describes introductory, application, analysis, and concluding activities. It involves identifying different scales of measurement, writing expressions in summation notation, and posing sample statistical problems. The reflections note that 85% of students actively participated and discuss strategies for students requiring remediation.

4.4 Abstraction
Nominal Measurement - this type of statistical data depicts the presence or
absence of a certain attribute. This usually involves the random assignment of
numbers to represent the attribute.
Ordinal Measurement - this provides the degree of the presence of an
attribute. Usually, data is classified according to orders or ranks.
10 minutes Interval Measurement - the measurement where data are arranged in
some order and the differences between data are meaningful. Data at this level
may lack inherent zero starting point.
Ratio - This measurement is an interval level modified to include the
inherent zero starting point.
4.5 Application
Write the following in sigma notation.
A. x + x + x + . . . + x

C. (a + b) + 2(a + b) + 3(a + b)
