The beast is changing… It’s not changing in heart or in mind, but rather on the outside only. All of the changes
are strictly cosmetic. We’ve designed a very sleek and stylish new heatsink. A black lacquer finish on the top
surface and a polished tub make for a more modern look. The chassis incorporates discrete mount terminals
and some of the controls on top of the amplifier for easy tuning. For ultimate signal input, the amplifiers can
accept balanced lines up to 5V from our BLT-4 Balanced Line Transmitters. Although a lot different than the
original aesthetics, these amps are still the finest reference quality amplifiers on the market today…

The American amplifier blacksmiths, Soundstream, have created a monster to stir up the world with their
2 channel amplifier. The Americans have a top-of-the-line amplifier that has gone into the class of excel-
lence. They let William Boddy hand design the heatsink – a solid chunk of aluminum with a bronzed finish.
All the engineering efforts showed well in the laboratory. A signal-to-noise ration of 99dB and a damping

Class D amplifiers, often referred to as “digital” are very common these days. However, people still do not
understand them. Truth is, there is no such thing as a digital amplifier! Class D topology is nothing more than
a switching amplifier, like a Class B, but at a much higher speed. Class D amplifiers are very efficient and put
much less strain on a vehicle’s charging system. The D2 series amplifiers are small in size making them easy
to hide. But don’t be fooled, these amps yield a ton of power for their size. All Monoblock amplifiers are for
subwoofers only due to their limited upper frequency of 250Hz. The little power houses use a fully-regulated
power supply, 18dB crossover at 80Hz , and a +6dB or +12dB boost at 45Hz. To keep everything looking the
same, we also added a 4 channel full-range amplifier for the rest of your components/coaxial speakers that
has similar features to the D2 monoblock sub amps.

Soundstream’s flagship sound quality subwoofer, the “R1” is probably the most revolutionary woofer you will
ever see. These very unique subwoofers encompass technologies that no other American car audio compa-
nies are using. With features only found in high-end European subs and components, the R1s are extremely
advanced.

Getting away from the traditional overhung motor, our underhung motor yields much less distortion and for
quality sound… The heatsink-cooled Dual Flux Plates create a very tall magnetic gap and is complimented
by a secondary magnet on top of the structure which acts as a “bucking” magnet and strengthens the gap.
While this driver is the ultimate Sound Quality subwoofer, it can still generate massive amounts of bass due to
the 12.7mm of 1-way linear excursion and 46.8mm of peak-to-peak mechanical excursion!

Whether you chill to smooth Jazz, bang your head to Hard Core, or split your ears with pounding Rap music, the
R1 series subwoofers will blow away even the most critical listener…

spider by 30% allowing higher power handling and longer life before the

After years of large capacitors being on the market, they still remain a mystery to many…
Often called a “power cap” or “stiffening cap”, some people prefer caps over adding a second
battery and vice versa. So, which product is a smarter choice? NEITHER!
A second battery is a great option for high power systems, but should be accompanied by an up-
graded alternator that can efficiently charge both batteries. This can get really expensive.
A capacitor is similar to a battery but can charge and discharge in a fraction of a second de-
pending on size. The cap has the ability to empty itself almost instantly on transient notes in music
material. However, it does not have the stamina that a battery has and is not an equivalent substi-
tute.
Our Cap Cells are a fusion of both products. The Cap Cell offers auxiliary power with the ability to
enhance the transient notes, often suppressed in car audio systems with an OEM battery, while being
able to reinforce the battery during long, intense bass notes. A second alternator is not neces-
sary, making the Cap Cell a perfect addition and an affordable way to supply the necessary power
for a system.
