TV Editor
First Place This entry did the best job of showcasing editing
WLEX-TV, Lexington that enhances the specific content in the entry -
Dave Medley particularly the pacing, editing and effects used in
the special Kentucky Derby show open. The
editing elevated the overall product, enhancing
the photography and writing.
Second Place
WHAS-TV, Louisville Excellent uses of effects in this entry, especially
Beth Peak for some subject matter for which there wasn't
much video!
Third Place
WDRB-TV, Louisville Loved the effects and editing throughout the
Dalton Rinehart story about the video store! Very creative, and
well-planned. The story about the honor flight
was a good display of what the editor was
capable of.

First Place All of the entries were great, but the winning
WPSD-TV, Paducah entry sticks out. The reporter and editor used
Brianna Clark stimulating, strong visual support for the story.
"Non-surgical Option Helping The information is relevant to anyone who
Improve Vision for Nearsighted Kids" watches this story, and the visual support really
helps tell the story and command the attention of
the viewer. The variation of camera angles, use of
technology to discuss the effect of technology,
and every other piece of video in this story
showed a high level of creativity and expertise.
This is something one would expect to see at the
network level, not at a non-major-market local
station. This was superb!
Second Place
WPSD-TV, Paducah Obviously a very emotional story. The reporter's
Mike Spissinger ability to tell a story is solid. The photography
