Some useful ideas:
A. Individual work:
Student has to pick up a card and start speaking (in first /third person) to practice
simple present.
Student has to write a paragraph about the person he/she has chosen.
E-mail writing
B. Pair-work
One student takes the role of the person in the card; the other is the person who has
to fill in the form for him/her.
Each student take a card and thus the role in it. In pairs they have to make up a
conversation getting to know each other.
One posible situation: two foreign students meeting on the train in England start a
conversation.
