destiny is playing too.

In the ancient times, there was a famous tale of a God who fell in loved with a mortal, which is
prohibited to the rules of the Goddess clan. Falling in love with a mortal is a complete sin to their
kind, but what if bending the rules makes you happy and contented? Will you continue to fight
for your happiness or just follow the rules that will surely break you?
In the kingdom of heavens, there lived the most puissant galere, the Earth has known. The ruler
of the heavens was Thanatos and his wife was Hemera. Hemera gave birth to the next ruler of the
kingdom, Eros which is the personification of love and lust. Eros wanted to go to the surface or
commonly known as the Earth but his parents won’t let him because of the danger that the
mortals might inflect on him. Eros was only 15 years old that time when he escaped from the
heavens to go to earth.
In the surface, was peaceful and full of abundance, Harmonia, the daughter of the chief in the
village of Deltora Rose. Harmonia was the only child, her mother died because of the God’s
cruelness to the human race. Her father, Ezekiel, abhor the goddess clan. Harmonia possessed a
beautiful and gentle voice which resembles her name. While going to the forest, to the high lake
she was singing and slightly dancing along with the animals and the nature.
Eros went down to the surface and he was shocked by the beauty of the Earth holds: the gentle
breeze, ravishing nature, and the delightful weather. While roaming, he suddenly heard an
alluring voice that made him followed it, and he saw a stunning girl that made his jaw dropped in
an instant. She didn’t noticed his presence. The beautiful girl continued singing with the animals
with a close eyes, she was feeling the moment like her body was one with nature and that made
him smile.
Harmonia arrived at the high lake and fetched some water and continued singing. When she
turned around to go back to the village, her eyes widen and she was shocked when she saw a
boy, an Adonis personified, he has this tantalizing blue eyes that caught her green ones. She was
pulled at her reverie when the boy was smiling at her and saying hi.
“H-hello? W-what are you doing here in the forest?” stuttered by the shocked.
“I am actually lost, can you help me go back to the kingdom?” he asked while roaming his eyes
around to see the vanishing beauty of the forest.
“What? Kingdom? A-are you a prince?” she replied and curiosity hits her when she heard the
word ‘kingdom’ and base on the dress of the boy, he’s a royalty, ‘maybe a prince from other
village’, she thought.
“Uhmmm nevermind, can you just tour me around, in this amazing and wonderful place?” he
asked. Eros don’t want to talk about his real identity as a God because all he wants is to enjoy his
time here on earth, just a normal person, no rules need to be followed, no eyes need to be
impressed and no responsibility need to be done, but just a mediocre person whom his heart
hungered for.
“S-sure, you’re kinda weird, so what’s your name?” She felt that the boy don’t want to talk
about his identity so she just asked his name instead.
“I am Eros, how ‘bout you omorfos?.” he stated.
“O-omorfos?” she asked, still confused.
“It means beautiful.” He answered with a wide grin in his face.
Harmonia felt like there were butterflies inside her belly and also the reddening of her cheeks.
While roaming around, they were both in bliss to see and discover the real pulchritude of the
enchanted forest, they even saw charming animals and elegant flowers.
As they were happy, time was fleeting, in that one week of happiness, Eros didn’t notice that it is
time to go back to the heavens. He bid farewell and Harmonia felt melancholy. He gave her a
precious blue gem stone necklace with a chain made of gold and no riches could overthrow this
brilliance.
“Do you trust me? I promise to return back to you, agapi mou. Keep this necklace wear it along
with your heart and always wear it, I will find you when I come back.”
Eros kissed her forehead and bid farewell.
Eros returned home unharmed, and happy. Little did he know that the kingdom was in a
complete chaos. The king knew that Eros went down to the surface and he was plotting a war to
the Human clan, Hemera stopped Thanatos but he is unstoppable. He promulgate war between
human and Gods. Eros blamed himself for the chaotic events experienced by their kingdom, he
really wanted to stop his father so he talk to him.
“f-father? Can you give me a minute to talk to you, please?” he pleaded.
“Eros if this is all about stopping the war you can’t-“ he cut the words of his father.
“f-father! I commit not to go back and adhere to all the rules here in this kingdom, to be a better
son, a better prince and will be the best king. If obeying your rules will break me, I will fight the
pain within me just don’t hurt them and her, even if it means hurting me.” Tears were falling
down on his cheeks and pain is vivid.
“I’m just doing this to protect the galere, son. As a king you must first think what’s best for your
kingdom even if it will break you, I will allow this war to stop just don’t break the commitment
you made.” Determination and persistent is present on his father’s eyes.
“Y-yes my king.” He answered. “f-father? Can I ask one more thing? Could you please expunge
me from her memories and let her have a normal life, like we’ve never met, like we’ve never
shared memories, like I have never existed”, he requested.
“I will son, I will.” His father granted his wish.
‘Promises are meant to be broken’ they said. Eros was a little bit happy and a little bit sad, he
was happy because the girl she love will not taste the wrath of his father and have a normal life
and sad because he knew she will never remember him because the only way to show your love
is to let go even if that means killing you because you’re not loving when you’re not hurting so
he did what’s best and that is to break the promise and let her live because sacrificing means
loving.
As time passed by, he kept on longing to see the beautiful face of his lover once more. The
promise he made on that day was carved deep in his heart. Meanwhile on Earth, the girl turned
into a fine and beautiful maiden and she looks very happy with her own family and Eros knew
every single thing about her, when the time the man courted her, the time she said yes to the
man, the time when she had her own family and he was very happy seeing her happy too. While
Eros became the most brave and boldest King, the heaven had known, he ruled the kingdom with
kindness and purity in his heart and he never did love again, never. The end.
