1. Two point charges, Q1 = 50 μC and Q2 = 10 μC are located at (-1, 1,
-3) m and (3, 1, 0) m, respectively. Find the electric force on Q1.
2. Refer to fig given below. Find the force on a 100 μC charge at (0, 0, 3) m if
four like charges of 20 μC are located on the x and y axes at ∓ 4 m.
3. Refer to fig (given below). Point charge Q1 = 300 μ C, located at (1, -1,
-3)m, experience a force = 8ax − 8ay + 4az N due to point charge Q2 at
(3, -3, -2) m. Determine Q2.

4. Find the force on a point charge of 50 μC at ( 0, 0, 5)m due to charge of 500
π μC that is uniformly distributed over the circular disk r ≤ 5 m, z = 0.

6. Find the expression for the electric field at P due to a point charge Q at
( x1, y1, z1). Repeat the charge placed at the origin.

8. Find the electric field E at (0, 0, 5)m due to Q1 = 0.35μC at ( 0, 4, 0)m and
Q1 = -0.55 μ at ( 3, 0, 0) m.
9. Charge is distributed along an infinite straight line with constant density
ρl. Develop the expression for E at the general point P.
10. On the line described by x = 2 m, y = -4 m there is a uniform charge
distribution of density ρl = 20 nC/m. determine the electric field E at (-2,
-1, 4).
11. As shown in Fig, two uniform line charge density ρ l = 4nC/m lie in the x =
0 plane at y = ∓ 4 m. Find E at ( 4, 0, 10) m.

18. As shown in the fig., charge is distributed along the z-axis between z = ∓

cartesian coordinates. Also express the answer in cylindrical coordinates.
