Learning Materials : a New Friend

Time allocation : 1x

A. Learning Objectives
At the end of learning, students can:
 Give and Answer greetings and Introduce self with the Correct Word and
Pronunciations.
 Giving and Demostrating instructions is very simple in the contex of the class
properly and correctly.
Methods : Integrated Skills (listening, imitating, conversing, demonstrating)
B. Steps of Learning Activities
Initial activity :
1. Teacher Greets the student “ Hello “. Students answer the teacher’s greeting properly
and correctly.
2. Teacher ensures that each student has answered. If there is no answer, teacher can
repeat the greeting “ hello “ again.

Core Activities :

1. Students are asked to open a 6-page printed book. Then, the teacher says “ listen and
look “ ( pointing at the ears and eyes ). Then, students are played with an audio
recording of a 6-page printed book.
2. As the recording rotates, the teacher demonstrates movement raise your hand , be quite
, list and stand in line along with the audio recording. When finished , the teachers says ‘
now it’s your turn ‘.
3. The etacher plays the audio recording once more and the students together
demonstrates the movement as the teacher has demonstrated. To check student
understanding,the teacher can call one of the students and ask him to demonstrate the
teacher’s instruction ( do the same thing with different students ).

Closing Activities :

1. Before ending the lesson,the teacher gives a game to the student.


2. The teacher closes the learning by asking students what they have learned in one day.
3. Teacher and students close learning by praying together.
