DEVICE REQUIREMENTS AND SETTINGS
DEVICE SETTINGS
Prior to downloading and installing the Cheetah Mobile application, certain settings must be confirmed.
On your device (cell phone or tablet), go to Settings and then tap the Menu key and then tap
Settings.
Confirm the following settings:
Wireless & networks --> Airplane mode ʹ UNCHECK
Wireless & networks --> Wi-Fi settings > Wi-Fi ʹ UNCHECK
Display --> Power saving mode ʹ UNCHECK (if applicable)
Location & security --> Use wireless networks ʹ UNCHECK
Location & security --> Use GPS satellites ʹ CHECK
Applications --> Unknown sources ʹ CHECK
Applications --> Development --> Allow mock locations ʹ CHECK
Date and time --> Automatic ʹ CHECK
*NOTE ʹ Specific location of settings may vary between devices.
CODE SCANNER
In order to download the Cheetah Mobile application, a QR (quick response) code scanning application
must be installed on the device. Many free QR code scanning applications are available on the Google
Play Store, but Barcode Scanner by ZXING TEAM is recommended.
To access the Google Play Store, tap the Applications button on the Home screen and then tap the Play
application in the applications list. Once the Google Play Store application launches, search for barcode
scanner. You must create a Google Play Store account to download.

LOADING THE CHEETAH MOBILE APPLICATION
The Cheetah Mobile Application utilizes a QR code that, when scanned, will link to the application
downloader. The following sections outline the process of downloading and installing the Cheetah
Mobile application on your device.
DOWNLOADING CHEETAH MOBILE
1. Launch the Barcode Scanner application
2. Scan this QR code:
3. Tap Open browser to download.
4. The web browser will launch and the download will be performed in the background. To check the
status of the download and open the application once the download is complete, swipe down
from the top of the screen down. Click on CheetahM4.apk once the download is complete. See the
picture below for guidance.

5. Review the Cheetah Mobile application permission requirements and tap Install.
6. Restart the device.
USING CHEETAH MOBILE APP
ͻ Open the Applications list by tapping on the Applications button on the home screen.
ͻ Tap the Cheetah Mobile icon to launch the application.
ͻ At the Cheetah Mobile screen, tap or swipe the screen to continue.

ͻ At the warning screen, tap the check box and tap Accept to agree to the statement.
ͻ The Register screen is displayed.
ͻ Tap the Key field and enter the registration key provided to you by Dispatch.
ͻ Tap the Register button. If you cannot see the register button, tap the back button on your device
to make the keyboard minimize.
ͻ The Login screen is displayed.

LOGGING IN TO START YOUR ROUTE
You will need to login each time you open the Cheetah Mobile app.
Driver ID: The ID number assigned to you.
PIN: The same number as the Driver ID.
Tap each field and enter the required information using the onscreen keypad. When finished, tap the
Login button. If you cannot see the login button, tap the back button on your device to minimize the
keyboard
NOTE: The Driver ID, PIN and Key will be remembered by the device after the first successful login. Ignore
the start mileage field.
THE CHEETAH MAIN ACT IVITY SCREEN
When you log in to the Cheetah Mobile application, the Main Activity screen is shown. The Cheetah
Main Activity screen displays the various options you will be interacting with. This section will briefly
review each of those options.
Download Route ʹ Lists the route currently assigned by dispatch, and gives you the option to download the
