Realization

Head and body (mint-green color):


The head and body are crocheted in a single piece from top to bottom and have to be filled
with stuffing as you go.
To avoid a hole at the beginning of your project, you
need to start it with a double adjustable ring (loop twice
the yarn on your finger and when you finish the round
pull the remaining yarn to close the hole):
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches.
Rnd 2: 2 single crochet in each stitch from last round

Place the pupils over the internal half of the eyeballs’ front side and sew them. Then, with
brandeis-blue color embroider a chain stitch round all around the pupils’ borderline in order
to mark the irises. With white yarn embroider 2 dots on each pupil to enlight them.
Eyelids (mint-green color):
Into a double adjustable ring crochet:
Rnd 1: 6 single crochet stitches.
Rnd 2: 1 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next stitch, 2 single crochet, 3 single crochet in
next stitch, 1 single crochet (10 stitches).
Rnd 3: 2 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next stitch, 4 single crochet, 3 single crochet in
next stitch, 2 single crochet (14 stitches).
Rnd 4: 3 single crochet, 3 single crochet in next stitch, 6 single crochet, 3 single crochet in
next stitch, 3 single crochet (18 stitches).

Rnd 5: Single crochet in each stitch.
Crochet 5 extra single crochet. Switch to ultramarine color and join the borderline
together with a single crochet round of 9 stitches plus a picot stitch on the last single
crochet (that’s the tail of the eyelashes). IMPORTANT: When you crochet the second
eyelid, work the picot stitch on the first single crochet instead of on the last.
Sew the eyeballs to the face, placing their internal angles in the eyeorbits. Then, place the
eyelids a little bit over the eyeballs and with the picot stitch towards out and sew them with
invisible stitches.

Mane:
The Pegasus’ mane consists in 3 rows of curls, 2 in
brandeis-blue color on the sides and 1 in sky-blue color
on the middle. These rows are crocheted the same way,
directly on the back side of the head, from tip to neck.
Row of Curls:
Row 1: 30 single crochet.
Row 2: *in the first stitch work a foundation chain of 30
stitches and 1 single crochet row on it; 2 single crochet*
repeat from *to* 14 times; work a foundation chain of 30
stitches and 1 single crochet row on it (15 curls).
Make a knot and cut the yarn with scissors. Repeat the
same instructions for the other 2 rows of curls in order
to complete the mane.

Horn (white color):


Into a double adjustable ring crochet:
Rnd 1: 5 single crochet stitches.
Rnd 2 to 4: Single crochet in each stitch.
Rnd 5: 2 single crochet in first stitch, 4 single crochet
(6 stitches).
Rnd 6 to 8: Single crochet in each stitch.
Rnd 9: 2 single crochet in first stitch, 5 single crochet
(7 stitches).
Rnd 10 to 12: Single crochet in each stitch.
Rnd 13: 2 single crochet in first stitch, 6 single
crochet (8 stitches).

Thread a tapestry needle with ultramarine yarn, and with it, embroider in chain stitches a
spiral line over the horn, from tip to bottom.
Sew the horn centered on the forehead, placing it in front of the mane’s first curls.

The 4 rounds of feathers are crocheted directly on the the wings, on rounds 5, 8, 11 and
14. In order to do so, just insert your hook on the front loops of each of those four rounds

and crochet as following: *3 chain stitches and 2 double crochet in first stitch, skip next 2
stitches, 1 single crochet* repeat from *to* till the end of each round, closing them with a
slip stitch.
Sew the wings to the back side of the Pegasus, placing the longest feather (feather “A”)
towards up.

Forelegs (Make 2):


The forelegs are crocheted from bottom to top and have to be filled with stuffing as you go.

Ending Details
Sew the muzzle by its opening on the front side of the head, between rounds 16 and 31.
With ultramarine yarn embroider the mouth and nostrils on the muzzle.
