Words of Hope

These words were written by me, Pietr, to uplift your spirit. I needed these words at certain points in my life and I wanted to put pictures or photos with it that corresponded to the text. Many people seem to like the words and I "hope" you will, the reader, as well.

Words of hope

Notes on this book
(My email is: [email protected])

The words from the following little book were written years ago
and I’m hoping hat the words will be uplifting. We all, in this
world, at times need the comfort of hopeful words – whether
things haven’t worked out the way we wish or not. The inbuilt
wisdom of the seasons tells us that in the depth of winter that
spring is being prepared. That when the river bed is dry we have
the knowledge that the rain will one day fall. When the sky is
darkest the stars shine the brightest.

So this gives us confidence to endure through many conditions,

for all creatures at some time must go through various
adversities – so the art of hoping is a great asset for us all. It is
written in all the holy texts and scriptures

.
You may feel dejected
And all your plans have gone wrong
you might feel you have no voice
and you’re just one of the crowd
you may have tried to do something many times and
failed.
You might feel you are at your wits end
but don’t despair
Because there is always hope
it is like a force in your heart
and finds a way to grow
in even the most seemingly hopeless situations
What sort of a word is hope?
it is the obstinate expectancy
Of a light to come
That will light up the darkness
what does it mean?
Hope can be defined as:
THE DESIRE OR CONFIDENCE
SOMETHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN
Hope is also said to be like a star
The darker the sky - the brighter the star...
There is always hope.
It may not always seem this way
but renewal and rebirth
are amongst the most powerful
forces in the universe
and also your life.
Many practice the art of hoping
The waters of hope
are like an eternal spring in your heart
Consider a tree
that is bare in winter,
not a leaf on her to protect her
from the cold.
Does the tree think
this is a hopeless situation?
Does she reminisce
about her former foliage
and fruits?
when she was resplendent and green
and the sun was shining
or does she know a secret?

Does she know

deep within herself
that the cold winter winds
are only temporary
and the first birdcall of spring
means new life will
spring from the old.
The frozen rivers of despair
will thaw out
and the waters of hope will flow once again.
and fresh leaves
will once more
sprout from her bare fingers...
this is the promise of hope.
Think of the flowers
that grow in a field.
Once they were tiny seeds
surrounded by the darkness of the soil
but with hope in their hearts.
Unable to see the sun
somehow they knew
it was shining above the soil

You can do the same

Think of the dried up
river bed,burnt by the sun
and a home for insects
and refuse
She waits patiently
for the new rains to fall
and fall they will -
starting with the tiniest droplet of water
which heralds a new beginning.

This first drop of moisture

is like God’s kiss on the lips
of the dry river bed
and it will fall on you as well -
if you learn the art of hoping.
Hope can also act as a bridge
that spans the chasm
between darkness and light.
A normal bridge is made up
of planks of wood, nuts and bolts,
but the bridge of hope
is made up of
many different belief systems,
books, sayings and traditions.
It is also made up of millions of prayers

To say,
AVE MARIA, HARE KRISHNA
BURUCH HASHEM,
chant, meditate or do a kindness
strengthens this bridge
So that we don’t topple into despair
when strong winds blow us
or the darkness surrounds us
Also we are stargazers,
it is our inner nature
to look through the darkness
at the star of hope
We hope for a better world for our children,
we hope for world peace,
we hope for good health
for ourselves and our loved ones,
we hope for love,
we hope for success,
we hope for happiness.
We are all hopers.
It has always been like this,
through all the disappointments
the flame of hope is always burning
in people’s hearts
