Cluster Tests Procedure

1. This document outlines tests to check coverage and call quality at a cluster drive location. Mobility, IRAT, and stationary tests are performed using Nokia and Star Hub phones to make voice calls, video calls, and download data files over 3G and 2G networks. 2. The mobility tests check for call drops, blocking, and data speeds across the cluster. IRAT tests monitor handovers between 3G and 2G and data handovers at cluster border locations. Stationary tests examine video call statistics within the cluster. 3. Logs are saved following a specified naming convention and tests are run without pausing logging to capture an accurate representation of call performance across the drive route.

1.1 Mobility Tests at Cluster Level

This test is performed for the following Reasons:-

1. Check the Idle Coverage and pilot pollution through Scanner


2. Check for call drops and call block cases
3. Check Data downloading speed through an FTP Server

1.2 Mobility Tests in Selected Clusters
(IRAT Tests at Selected Locations in 3G Border)

This test is performed for the following reasons:-

1. Check the voice Handovers(3G to 2G and 2G to 3G) at 3 Locations near the cluster
border.
2. Check the Data Handovers(3G to 2G and 2G to 3G) at 3 Locations near the cluster
border.

1. Check Video Call Statistics from one mobile to another

Convention for Saving Log Files:-


DT_ CircleName _ClusterXX_##.gen [## = 00-99]

Eg.
DT_ Mumbai _Cluster24_01.txt

Log file needs to be recorded before running the Command Sequence.


Log file shouldn’t be paused during the drive.
Over lapping of roads during drive must be avoided.
Command sequence shouldnt be stopped during logfile recording.
