he Faiers sisters sure know how
to throw a party to remember, and
that was certainly the case when
OK! was invited to Billie’s Great
Gatsby-themed 20s party.
After driving down a winding country
road, guests were greeted at the historic
Hedsor House – the same Buckinghamshire
venue where Mark Ronson celebrated his
33rd birthday and scenes for Killing Eve
were filmed. The hundreds of silver, gold
and white balloons brought instant glamour
to the front of the building and set the tone
for the unforgettable evening.
Like Essex royalty, reality TV’s Fab Four
– Billie, her sister Sam and their partners
Greg Shepherd and Paul Knightley –
greeted OK! at the entrance. The couples
posed against a backdrop adorned boldly
with ‘BILLIE’, so nobody could forget who
the day was all about.
The woman of the hour was dressed in
a bespoke gown by Eamonn McGill, who
flew over from Ireland to help Billie look her
best. That she did as the floor-length dress
sparkled under the light of the chandeliers
– almost as if she had applied a filter in
real life. She greeted her friends, including
her former TOWIE co-star Ferne McCann.
And where Billie goes, the camera crew

How late did you stay up?

The party finished at 1am, and then we went
upstairs and shared a magnum of Whispering

we all went off to bed at 2.30am. It was such a
long day, but I made sure I paced myself. Until
about 10ish I was being really good. I wanted to
be able to remember everything, and enjoy every
second. I didn’t want to peak too early!

Were there any dramas?

The person who was meant to make my dress let
me down at the last minute, which was stressful.
We found Eamonn, who flew in from Ireland
to save the day. I gave him drawings of what I
wanted, and he turned it around in two days. He
did the fitting the night before the party! Thank
God it all went well in the end.

How long have you been planning the party?

I started looking for venues in September, and
my sister had her clothing launch at Hedsor
House in October. When I walked in I fell in love

Yes. We do go away on holiday a lot, which is
lovely, but we pretty much have the cameras
with us the whole time so it’s still kind of
work. We share everything, and that’s why the
show works. It’s just become second nature
to us now. I’ve had to defend the amount of
holidays we go on in the past, but Samantha
and I work hard, and we get mum guilt all the
time so we look forward to our holidays.

How do you feel about being 30?

My twenties were the most life-changing,
amazing years of my life. I feel very grateful.
I married Greg, and we’re lucky to have
Nelly and Arthur. Now I’m in my thirties I feel
like a proper adult, but I need to grow up
[laughs]. I’m at a point where I’m really happy
and settled. I know where I want to be and
where I’m going. I’ve had the best welcome
to my thirties.

What have you learned in the last decade?

To appreciate every day as life goes so fast. I
don’t want to take anything for granted. I am
a positive person anyway, but I do think it’s so
important to surround yourself with positive
people and stay focused.

You and Sam have a very strong relationship.

Is that important to you?
Yes, it’s so important. Me, mum and Samantha call
ourselves the Three Musketeers. I know a lot of
people have a close relationship with their siblings
and parents, but we do have an extra special bond.

How is married life?

It’s all really good at the moment! I say this all the
time, but it was the final piece of the puzzle. As a
family we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

What have you planned for the next 10 years?

We’ve just got a new house – it’s going to be
a full-on project but luckily we can stay in our
current home while they do the work. It’s such a
big achievement as it’s on a road that I’ve loved for
so many years now. I’m sure there are going to be
Sam, Billie, Paul and plenty of highs and lows but we’re ready for it. We

I hope I’ll be able to have open conversations
with them. People have suffered with
depression on both sides of my family so I do
think it plays a role, but it’s also circumstantial.

How do you manage your mental health?

For me, I need a mixture of therapy and
medication. I couldn’t do one without the
other. It’s something I’ll always have to
manage – I’ll be on medication for as long
as I need it. There seems to be this stigma
around medication, but I think whatever is
going to get you through your life, do it.
Anxiety wise, I don’t really suffer much any
more. I still get anxious but I haven’t had a
panic attack since Parker was little. I still have
hard days that can be caused by anything,
like being too busy or not being busy enough.
But it’s never as bad as it used to be.

Looking back, how do you view your

time in hospital?
It was a relief to be in hospital. I definitely
wasn’t capable of looking after myself at
that point. I had no idea what was going on
and I felt completely out of control. I’d lost
who I was. I was exhausted, constantly crying

and I couldn’t function any longer. It was a
real relief to go somewhere and know I was
going to be taken care of. When I look back
now I don’t really recognise that person and
I’m so grateful I could go there. A lot of that
was to do with Wayne. Wayne was the one
who rang the doctor and took me to the
hospital straight from the airport after a
video shoot abroad with The Saturdays.

Do you feel like Wayne helped save you?

Yes. Wayne was the person who made me
realise that something wasn’t quite right. He
was the one who urged me to get help and
he supported me right from the start. He
has been my rock and has had to learn a lot
along the way. While I was in hospital, he had
lots of sessions with Mal and Mike so they
could explain what was happening and why
I was the way I was. I think that helped him.

In your book you reveal how Wayne lost

weight during that time...
He lost a lot of weight and we think it was
probably down to stress. I had no idea what
was going on to be honest. There are times
when friends say, “I came to see you that
day,” and I just don’t remember any of it.
I was so unaware of the outside world.

How do you think it affected your

relationship with Wayne?
It made me realise we wanted to be together.
He made that real effort to help me through
it and that was a big thing for me. It helped
me get better because I knew someone
loved me and wanted me to be better.
Wayne could have easily left but he didn’t.

one. The producers were as surprised as I
was because I’m assuming that’s rare.

Who do you get on best with?

Davina [McCall] has been really wonderful
to me. But all of them really. Davina
and Jonathan are such huge stars of
the presenting world and they’re huge
inspirations to me and what I do, so the
fact that I can go on a show, present and
have them tell me I’ve done a good job is
really amazing. I love getting a bit of their
wisdom; they give me advice and help me
out a little bit. I love knowing I have their
numbers in my phone, and if anything
happens I’m not sure about, I can contact
them. I feel like they’ve been through a
lot in their different careers so it’s nice to

nly a few short weeks from now,
the cast of the first winter Love
Island will be boarding a flight
back to the UK after searching for
love under the South African sunshine. The
Islanders will be returning with more than
just a tan – many have fallen in love, and
simultaneously got themselves a lot of fans. In 2017
2017,
it was winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies who were riding high.
At their first shoot as a couple, Kem and Amber, both now 23, were
excited to be out in the real world.
Kem described the positive reaction as “overwhelming”, adding, “Even
that politician [Jeremy Corbyn] has been watching.”
With matching eternity bracelets on show, a besotted Amber told OK!, “I
tell Kem all the time, ‘I’m going to be with you forever.’” The pair had already
started to think about their future: “We’ll have three weddings – one in Essex,
one in Wales and one in Cyprus”, Kem proclaimed.
Amber added, “Kem wants to be flown in by helicopter. Our wedding
would be all about him, it wouldn’t be about me at all!”
Kem said, “I can imagine
having a family with her,”
but Amber revealed that her
5ft 5in boyfriend objected
to having sons. “I’d like two
boys, but Kem doesn’t want
boys because they’ll be
really short.”
Unfortunately, their love
burned bright and fast,
and within four months
the couple had gone their
Kem and Amber insisted separate ways, blaming
they would be with each their schedules. Despite
other “forever” their relationship not having
longevity, the pair have done
well separately and still speak
