Job Description:
❖ Planning, organizing and carrying out erection, fit up welding of pipe spools and
supports as per isometric drawing.
❖ Fit up and weld visual inspection of piping.
❖ Coordinate with subcontractors to assure the various fabrication and installation stages
of piping and equipment as per the planning schedule.
❖ Verification of isometric dawning with respect to P&ID.
❖ Line checking and ensure alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping.
❖ Verify that Bolt torque to be done in all flange joints within the Hydro test limit.
❖ Inspection of gaskets, supports, valves prior to line reinstatement acceptance as per the
latest drawing for construction, codes and specification standards.
❖ Preparation of Hydro test packages as per P&ID, Isometric drawings, hydro static
drawings and all related documents.
❖ Going through the scope of work and investigation on site as per drawings.
❖ Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings.
❖ Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and
fittings.
❖ Check flow direction arrows on valve; verify that the properly identified valves are
installed in accordance with the flow diagram.
❖ Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with
the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
❖ Witness final pressure test, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate
dial range and is calibrated.
❖ Coordinate with the quality inspectors to ensure that the work is being performed per
the QC plans.
❖ Preparing daily schedule of production, with respect to the requirements for various
items as per the orders and the capacity of the plant.
❖ Attending meetings with consultant / client, explain the site observations of production
and project requirements and day-to-day monitoring at site.
❖ Coordinate with construction, testing group, and QC department in the preparation of
test requirement of each test pack and facilitate close-out of any outstanding punch
items before and after the pressure test.
❖ Resolving any problems arise in site during pipe installation and direct modification of
products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance
specifications.
