INTRODUCTION
• I would like to design a Naturopathic Healing Center. This facility will offer a unique
environment in which patients can seek care that a normal hospital would not offer. The
medical care given will follow the principles of naturopathic medicine as will the architecture of
the facility. It will also respond to and interact with the natural environment. The site will
need to offer opportunities for the patient to interact with nature so as to provide a calming
environment in which healing can take place. A facility of this type also needs a strong
connection to a community.
• The physical healthcare environment is comprised of ambient, architectural, and interior design
features .Ambient features include, for example, lighting, noise levels, odors, and temperature,
texture, materials. The architectural features are the relatively permanent aspects of the
physical healthcare environment, such as the spatial layout of the health centre, the size and
shape of rooms, and the placement of windows. Interior design features can be defined as the
less permanent aspects of the healthcare environment, such as furnishings, colors, interior
plants, and artwork. The overall objective is choosing what colors, patterns, materials and
textures to put together to create an interior design scheme that looks and feels good may not
be too taxing, but create a smoothing and relaxed environment for the patient. Decorating with
muted color palettes and inconspicuous patterns is one thing, but it is important to consider
the nature and choice of the person who is going to use the space further so as to create a
living she is happy and comfortable with.
AIM- Design the healing centre, by creating the surroundings with
nature, art, texture, materials, patterns, colors, light to comfort
the healing process.
OBJECTIVE-
• Use of colors, materials, textures and form as it provides relaxing and
smoothing ambience to the patients
• To plan the healing centre in such a way in such a way that the
patients surrounded with nature not in a hospital walls.
• The interior of the space will respond and interact with the natural
environment
• Plan the therapy area, living area, educational area and admistration
area.
• Systematic planning of the green spaces, patient spaces, service
spaces, separation spaces, and their relation with nature.
• Establish connection between outdoor and indoor spaces.
