R/I => Root / I Note Note: - "The chord played in this key is:" means that if you play a chord beginning with this note it will be a Major or minor chord. For instance if you play the root note chord it
will be the major chord. If you play a III, it will be a minor chord.

*Suspended 4th means that the 3rd note of the scale is suspended or removed and the 4th note of the scale is added in its place.
O
b or - => flatted 1/2 step; b => flat; => diminished; bb => double flat => down two half steps

# or + => raised 1/2 step; # => Sharp, + => Augmented

**NOTE!: The bVII in the Diminished 7th is a bVII in the Dominant Scale, which would be a bbVII in the Major Scale. Any note of the Diminished 7th Chord may be the Root Note
In other words, O C= OEb = OF# = OA because they are evenly spaced across the scale (Each note is +3 Half Steps above the previous note; 3 half steps X 4 notes = 12 half steps);

Consequently it doesn't matter which note you start on, all four chords have the same four notes.
