Abdul Basit, an 8th semester biotechnology student at Preston University, is requesting leave of absence from classes during the lockdown period due to COVID-19. As a student living in a village far from the university, he does not have reliable internet access for online classes since there is no PTCL service and cellular data does not work in his area. He is unable to take the online classes on time and has missed vital hours of education. He asks the head of the department to grant him a chance to complete his course once the lockdown is over.

Subject: Absence of classes during lockdown.
 
Dear Sir,
 
I have to state that I am a student of Preston University of 8 th Semester in
BS(Biotechnology) and I live in a nearby village of Tehsil Hasan Abdal named as Kot
Sundki. As the lockdown appears as a result of COVID-19, the university according
to the instructions of HEC announced online classes for the students. I live in far-
distance area and now for the online classes I am facing internet issues for my
studies. In my area there is no PTCL internet service available also the cellular 3G
does not works in my area. So, I was not able to take the online classes on time
during lockdown and missed my vital hour of education.

I, therefore, earnestly pray and hope that your honour would be kind enough to grant
me the chance of completing my course. I will be highly obliged for your act of
kindness.
