1.3 Glossary
Term Explanation
Project A project contains one or more data sets (deflection measurements) which you
can analyze and edit. Projects are saved as zfg4 files.
Data set A data set contains the measurement data and possibly the gps/location data
made by the tester with a deflectometer.
Minimum quantile The minimum quantile is the smallest approved quantile in a normal
distribution below which no more than the prescribed amount of characteristic
values are allowed (e.g. Compaction ratio D Pr = ρd/ρPr).
For information on minimum quantile determination and the requirements on
subsoil and foundation construction we refer to current literature (e.g. The
guidelines for soil work in road construction ZTV E-StB 09).

OpenStreetMap/StaticmapLite is enabled. If you want to use other map providers you'll need to
purchase an API-Key from one of them (see chapter 4.6).

4.3.3 Switching map type

Use the drop down menu for switching map type to select different map types (e.g. road map,
satellite map etc). The available map types depend on the map provider.

4.3.4 Map download limit

The map provider OpenStreetMap/StaticMapLite puts a limit on how many maps a user can
download. If the user ignores this then at a certain point they'll completely block the user from
downloading any more maps. So to stop this from happening we've added a daily download limit.
If you need more than this, you can also switch to a different map provider by purchasing an API-Key
from one of them (see chapter 4.6). You can also turn the map downloads off.

commercial usage of their maps.
2. Click the Hyperlink to the website of the map provider to open the website of the map provider in
your default web-browser. Acquire an API-Key through them.
Note
Not all map providers use the term API-Key. Microsoft calls it the “Bing Maps REST Service” for
example. The term is mentioned in the label above the hyperlinks.
3. Enter your API-Key into the Input field for the API-Key and click Accept API-Key. The API-Key will
appear as “***” in the field above.
4. In case the Current „User Agent“ field is empty (e.g. Internet Explorer is not installed, Windows is
blocking the information etc.) or extra information like an e-mail address or URL is required by the
map provider you can input it into the Input field for „User Agent“.
5. You can test your API-Key by clicking the Test API-Key button. If everything was input correctly a
map should appear in the Microsoft Internet Explorer window for testing the API-Key showing the
