Load combinations calculation is carried out according to IEC 60056, IEC 60694, IEC 61166 and IEC 61264.
The different mechanical loads on the circuit-breaker are individually calculated and after that combined into
actual load combinations.
Normal load case:
LC1: Normal wind, combined with static terminal load and impact at operation.
Extreme load cases:
LC2: Ice load, combined with normal wind, static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC3: High wind, combined with static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC4: Short-circuit load, combined with normal wind, static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC5: Earthquake load, combined with normal wind load, static terminal load and impact at operation.

Basic loads:
Normal wind 34 m/s. Horizontal earthquake acceleration 0.5 g Ice 10 mm
High wind 78 m/s. Short-circuit current 40 kA

1 Introduction

Load combinations calculation is carried out according to specification:


IEC 60056, IEC 60694, 61166 and IEC 61264.
The different mechanical loads on the circuit-breaker are individually calculated and after that combined into
actual load combinations.

The following load combinations are considered.

Normal load case:


LC1: Normal wind, combined with static terminal load and impact at operation.

Extreme load cases:


LC2: Ice load, combined with normal wind, static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC3: High wind, combined with static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC4: Short-circuit load, combined with normal wind, static terminal load and impact at operation.
LC5: Earthquake load, combined with normal wind load, static terminal load and impact at operation.

Specified mechanical loads:
