2. Why do you need to do MS
3. Why have you chosen the particular program? What are the subjects that interest
you? What do you want to specialize in? What potential do you see in the area?
4. Why are you applying to the particular university

PLEASE DO NOT

1. Talk of what you have done in the past. It is reflected in the CV and memos.
2. COPY from your peers or from the net.
3. ASK for Assistantships, Aid etc

SOP NEED NOT HAVE

1. Quotations
2. Flowery language
3. Academic percentages
4. School name, college name, subjects, extra curricular activities

Other Points

1. If there is a break in studies you should give the reason for it.
2. If you are working, you may give your job profile, if it is related to the program
you are applying for.

The Most Difficult Point

STICK TO 500 - 700 WORDS!!!

(Online applications have a specific number of words that can be uploaded. Most of the
universities prefer 500 word SOP)

Everyone has a different style of writing and it is best to stick to your style!
