NEW OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF ELECTRICITY BILLS
APDCL is pleased to inform its valued consumers that several new options for payment of Electricity bills have
been introduced in addition to its normal revenue collection methods to make the system of paying the electricity
bills easy and convenient for its consumers.
The following are some of the options provided by APDCL:-

The consumers are requested to utilize the facilities provided for their convenience. For any doubts and clarifications

for a briefing of the above mentioned options.
ONLINE MODE (WITH ACCESS TO INTERNET)
1. Online payment at www.apdcl.gov.in through internet banking or credit card or debit card using
either BILL DESK payment gateway or APDCL payment gateway.
a) BILL DESK PAYMENT GATEWAY: Log on to www.apdcl.gov.in and pay using BILLDESK
payment gateway powered by Bill Desk (P) Ltd .The payment can be done through net banking,
debit card or credit card. An e-receipt will be generated instantly. The consumer will also receive
an SMS confirmation regarding the transaction.
The rates of service charges are as follows:
I) Payment through net banking: Rs 5.00+Service tax per transaction.
II) Payment through debit card: 0.75% of transaction amount + service tax up to Rs
2000.00 per transaction and 1% of transaction amount + service tax above Rs
2000.00 per transaction.
III) Payment through credit card: 1.1% of bill amount+ service tax subject to
minimum of Rs 5.00 per transaction.
b) APDCL PAYMENT GATEWAY: Log on to www.apdcl.gov.in and pay using APDCL payment
gateway. The APDCL Payment Gateway is powered by Citrus (P) Ltd in collaboration with Yes
Bank (P) Ltd. The payment can be done through net banking, debit card or credit card. The
receipt will be generated instantly. An e-receipt will be generated instantly. The consumer will
also receive an SMS confirmation regarding the transaction.
This Gateway will be available very soon.
The rates of service charges are as follows:
I) Payment through net banking: Rs 3.50+Service tax per transaction.
II) Payment through debit card: 0.75% of transaction amount + service tax up to Rs
2000.00 per transaction and 1% of transaction amount + service tax above Rs
2000.00 per transaction.
III) Payment through credit card: 1% of bill amount+ service tax per transaction.
2. Online payment using various wallets. The various wallet service providers are Vodafone m-pesa
wallet, Airtel Money wallet, Paytm wallet, Pay Point wallet.
a. Vodafone M-Pesa Wallet (Both online and offline modes):
ONLINE MODE:
Consumers having smartphones with internet connection can download the Vodafone m-pesa
application and pay their electricity bills through the application using wallet, net banking,
credit card or debit card. An e-receipt will be generated instantly. The consumer will also
receive an SMS confirmation regarding the transaction.
OFFLINE MODE:
Here the customers with a Vodafone connection have to visit any authorized M-Pesa agent or
self-register by dialing *400# and provide some basic information and after that an SMS will be
sent to his/her number confirming his/her registration. It is basically Digital Money on Mobile
wallet.
Here the consumers having a Vodafone connection with any handset without internet
connection can pay their electricity bill anytime and anywhere provided they have money in
their mobile wallet. For depositing money in their wallet they have to visit the nearest m-pesa
agent. The receipt will be sent through SMS to the consumer’s mobile number.
Service charges: - Rs. 5.00 plus service tax per transaction.
The facility is presently available only for the consumers billed centrally in SAP billing system.
b. AIRTEL MONEY WALLET (Both online and offline modes):
ONLINE MODE:
Consumers having smartphones with internet connection can download the Airtel Money
application and pay their electricity bills through the application using wallet, net banking,
credit card or debit card. An e-receipt will be generated instantly. The consumer will also
receive an SMS confirmation regarding the transaction.
OFFLINE MODE:
Here the customers with an Airtel connection have to visit any authorized Airtel Money agent
or self-register by dialing *400# and provide some basic information and after that an SMS will
be sent to his/her number confirming his/her registration. It is basically Digital Money on

and pay their electricity bills through the application using wallet, net banking, credit card or
debit card. An e-receipt will be generated instantly. The consumer will also receive an SMS
confirmation regarding the transaction.
Service charges: - Rs. 5.00 plus service tax per transaction.
The facility will be very soon available only for the consumers billed centrally in SAP billing system.
d. PAY POINT WALLET (Only Online):
This wallet will be made available very soon. Details will be published in this website.
Service charges: - Rs. 5.00 plus service tax per transaction.
OFFLINE MODE (WITHOUT ACCESS TO INTERNET)
The consumers of APDCL have several options of paying their Electricity bills offline at various counters,
outlets, etc approved by APDCL. Offline payment can be made through SBI POS, Bill Cloud (P) Ltd, Sahaj
e- village Ltd, Sumato Globaltech (P) Ltd, Arunudoi Centres.
1. BILL CLOUD:
Here the consumers have to visit the nearest mobile recharge counter approved by Bill Cloud with
their current electricity bill and make cash payment for a real-time credit in APDCL system and
an SMS e-Receipt will be generated.
Service Charges: - a) Up to bill amount of Rs. 1500.00 = Rs. 10.00+ service tax.
b) For bill amount above Rs. 1500.00 = Rs. 12.00+ service tax.
The system is presently operational in Teok Electrical Division which will be expanded to
Silchar Electrical Zone very soon.
The facility is not available for the consumers billed centrally in SAP billing system.
2. SAHAJ e-VILLAGE Ltd:
Here the consumers have to visit the nearest CSCs (Arunodoi Kendras) along with their current
electricity bills and pay their electricity bills in cash. The receipt will be given at the CSCs itself.
Service Charges: - Rs. 7.49 + service tax per transaction.
The system is presently operational in Nalbari Electrical Division.
The facility is not available for the consumers billed centrally in SAP billing system.
3. SUMATO GLOBALTECH (P) Ltd:
Here the consumers have to visit the nearest approved retailers of Sumato Globaltech along with
their current electricity bill and make cash payment for a real-time credit in APDCL system and
an SMS e-Receipt will be generated.
Service Charges: - a) Up to bill amount of Rs. 1000.00 = Rs. 7.00.
b) For bill amount above Rs. 1000.00 = Rs. 10.00.
The system will soon be operational in some rural areas of Lakhimpur Electrical Division.
The facility is not available for the consumers billed centrally in SAP billing system.
4. ARUNODOI CENTRES:
Here the consumer has to visit the nearest CSCs (Arunodoi Kendras) along with their current
electricity bills and pay their electricity bills in cash. The receipt will be given at the CSCs itself.
Service Charges: - Rs. 10.00 + service tax per transaction.
The system will soon be operational in some areas of Tezpur Electrical Circle.
5. SBI POS:
Here the Consumers can pay their electricity bills directly by swiping their debit or credit cards at
the POS (Point of Sale) machines provided by State Bank of India installed at some locations
approved by APDCL. The POS machine will generate the receipt which will be valid for all further
correspondence with APDCL.
Service Charges: - Rs 7.00 + service tax per transaction.
The system is presently operational at some areas of Guwahati Electrical Circle-1, Tezpur
Electrical Circle and North Lakhimpur Electrical Circle.
N.B:
1. No part payment will be accepted in any of the above mentioned options.
2. Payment after due date will be accepted only when the consumers pay by logging into
www.apdcl.gov.in by using either of the two Gateways.
