Selena Quintanilla lived in only 23 years, but before her death she was already an icon
of music and entertainment in America. Proud of her Hispanic ancestry, she always
sang in Spanish, -even in the United States-. Death at all times, pride, feeling, family,
and perseverance, dreams are fulfilled, a regret that has overcome innumerable
difficulties. She had a short and intense life, since she was not only a singer, but also an
actress, model, entrepreneur and fashion designer.
Selena Quintanilla was born on April 16, 1971 in the town of Lake Jackson. Her parents,
she, Panamanian and he Mexican, had three children and together they formed a
happy and stable family of Hispanic origin established in America. Over the years, and
thanks to Selena's talent, this is one of the most important figures in Latin music with
sales exceeding 60 million nightclubs. Its success has turned it into one of the Hispanic

Tex-Mex is a musical style of the region made up of the state of Texas and the states of

continue to sound today on Mexican and Hispanic radio stations.
