PROCEDURE FOR PERSONNEL TRAVELLING TO THE TSB’S FROM HIGH RISK AREAS

This procedure is to cover all personnel, who are travelling to the TSB’s from area’s designated as a high
risk of the COVID-19 virus by the W.H.O. High risk being category 1 & 2 area’s as designated by the
W.H.O.
This procedure is to cover everyone, with no exceptions of company or management level held.

Travellers to the TSB’s

Anyone who intends to travel to a Transhipment Base via a country which has been designated as a level
one or two risk level, must be able to prove they have been away from the area of high risk for over 14
consecutive days, undertaken a health check by a qualified medical practitioner who can verify they are
virus free.
The Sarens TSB Site Manager must receives these assurances before the individual will be allowed entry
to the TSB.
NB. All such decisions are made at the Sarens TSB Site Managers discretion.
These restrictions also include travelling through areas of high risk such as transit airports on the
individuals way to the TSB.

If the the Sarens TSB Site Manager is not satisfied that a quarantine period of at least 14 days has been
undertaken while travelling from or through a category one or two country, the individual will not be
allowed access to the TSB until the following additional measures have been met.

 Accommodation has been arranged for the traveller to undergo a quarantine period of at least 14
days.
 Regular monitoring by a qualified medical practitioner.(temperature checks etc.)
 Provision has been made for the person concerned, to be catered for so that they do not have to
leave their place of temporary residence and potentially infect any of the local population.
 Decide who, if anyone will sponsor the cost of the quarantine period ,e.g. Accommodation costs
medical bills etc.
 Note anyone who comes back from Leave, after visiting category 1 & 2 area’s of their own
volition, will have to bear any additional costs and loss of wages as a consequence of their
actions.

There are no exceptions to this rule, the Sarens TSB Site Manager has full authority to deny access to
any individual they reasonably believe could be potentially infected by the COVID-19 virus.

List of currently known high risk areas.

 Specific lockdown areas in northern Italy as designated by the Government of Italy.


 ‘Special care zones’ in South Korea as designated by the Government of the Republic
South Korea
 Hubei province (returned in the past 14 days).

 Northern Italy (Anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini

Minimize personnel visiting ships – only safety and operational essential personnel

Returning rotators to ensure that TSB Manager has full knowledge of movements while on time off

Personnel going onboard vessels to be willing to provide basic medical questionaire and have
temperature taken prior to boarding

Masks and hand sanitizers have been made available
