Computer Request

Two teachers from the ICT Department wrote a letter to the principal requesting additional computers for their programming and animation classes. They explained that the current three working computers they have to share among 30-40 students per class is inadequate and hinders the students' learning. The existing computers are also over a decade old, well past their average lifespan of 6-7 years. The teachers are asking the principal to grant their request for at least five additional computers for each class, to help address their current situation. The letter was signed by the programming teacher, animation teacher, ICT department coordinator, and approved by the head teacher and principal.

TO: MR. FREDERICK G. BYRD JR.

Principal IV, San Pedro Relocation Center National High School

THRU: MRS. ZAIDA A. ABRIGO

Accountant I, San Pedro Relocation Center National High School

Dear Mr. Byrd,

For several years now, we, teachers from the ICT Department are tirelessly giving our best
effort to provide quality education to our students. Equipped with knowledge and passion, we
survive our day to day life by developing lessons and activities that will defy the mind of the young
ones and will enhance their in demand skills. We know that it is our goal and obligation to bring the
out the best in them.

However sir, our passion and dedication are being challenged due to inadequate number of
computers that we have. Programming and Animation subjects rely heavily on computers. But if you
will visit our computer laboratories, you will see that we only have three (3) working computers to
be used by 30 to 40 students per class. The ratio is ineffectual and significantly hampers the learning
of our students. Not to mention that those computers were more than a decade old now. It is
already way beyond the average lifespan of a computer which is six to seven years only.

The reasons above forced us to appeal to you sir, to kindly grant our request for additional
of at least five (5) computers to both Programming and Animation TVE. Those numbers were not
enough but will certainly help our current situation.

Thank you for taking time to read our letter sir. We sincerely hope that you will not disregard
this matter and may you find our request necessary and urgent.

Respectfully yours, Checked by:
