I know that this is the paranormal board and all but could any of y'all tall me about
some specific locations in rural parts of the U.S. that experience suspicious, likely
non-paranormal activity?
I'm referring to things like potential cult activity or bases, "abandoned" locations
that are still under descent security for seemingly no good reason, criminal activity
or possible hideouts, particularly rural or out-of-the-way places which see a lot of
traffic, or anything along the same vane these examples.

i've lived in almost every rural state, WV/Virginia, both carolinas Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, the list goes
on.
Cults are an interesting topic because not many people truly understand the most common expression of
cult-community that shows itself in rural America. Its not that some eccentric figurehead organizes a
community like in media & literature, its more like groups of like-minded people naturally socialize until both
the most impressionable and most passionate to organize are left, and become family, if they aren't already
blood related to begin with.
This results in herd-behavior that could be as inert as everyone coming to a weekly sunday dinner and
afterwards always ending up watching the news to confirm each others biases about whatever political or
spiritual opposition becomes the topic that day. Or it could be a few of the group contributing to starting up
an operation like moonshine or cannabis growing to help increase their & their families living conditions.
In West Virginia, I was quite close to people in my family who ran moonshine operations. These people, they
emboldened each others christian ideals to the point that the group as more of a spiritual brotherhood than a
clandestine alcohol business run by a few disparate family members.
The weird thing is that once you meet one moonshine family, you realize that there are dozens of them.
Each operate differently some are rednecks trying to have fun with little organization or foresight but some
are quite secretive.
I'll go over some weird shit I've witnessed in my next post.

After trying a sip of some Shine at a small dinner and speaking with a few people further, they told me some
details about their situation and i ended up just asking to see the set up.
I'll condense things, long story short I ended up upgrading one of their basic distilleries just by adding
copper condensing plates to their distillation column, which let them control more of the taste & production of
their product.
After that I got to hear all kinds of stories and go on runs, some too bizarre to believe and definitely criminal.
Including murder.
Some families definitely have some weird incest stuff going on where adult daughters have threesomes with
their parents. I ended up living next door to one of these families when I rehoused near my folks with the
operation in 07. I never spoke with these neighbors once in four years, that's how secretive they were.
The first year I started noticing a kid playing outside like once a week. Any time I or my other family
members were around, none of them would ever come outside. Only when nobody was around would they
let this kid outside. I tried getting a closer look at him through my window once (creepy I know) and noticed
his face was odd, maybe a hair lip if you've ever seen one of those. Over time I heard the story that they cut
off all outside contact years ago after someone tried dating the daughter behind her fathers back and was
shot at with a rifle which caused him to expose their incest relationship, and word travels fast in small towns.
No police intervention. No CPS or anything, life just continued on.
Thats when it became obvious that this was an incest baby that was being secluded from the rest of the
world by my two bit moonshine salesman neighbor who regularly had sex with his daughter. Poor kid was
condemned to a life of isolation & likely abuse. I was told if I called the cops it could expose everyone's
operations, and I just better not. This guy was eventually found beaten to death in 08

what about Shawano? I live about 25 minutes away (bought a farm at the beginning of last year). I
remember hearing something about a cult around there from some other kids my age about 20 years ago,
but other than that nothing.

Not rural in the slightest but

Not at all. I'm a shut in, this gave me more life experience than I would have ever gotten OP. I learned more
about the human condition & moral dilemmas than I would've in a philosophy class. You just have to be
smart. Don't put yourself in situations involving any combination of idiots, drugs and guns. Ever.
I had to uncles who were brothers. One had a wife and kids, and the other one slept with his own brothers
wife. Through this cocaine fueled affair that lasted a few years they began fighting more and more. One
night the cheating brother shot the wife in the face with a pistol over who knows what and now her two
children are motherless. He planned on murdering his own mother and sister afterwards. I can even give his
name which links to news articles if anyone wants to test my authenticity.
I'm also related to John Evander Couey. The man who raped Jessica Lunsford at 9 years old and buried her
alive in the mid 2000s. My dad told me stories of Johns father trying to molest my dad in the woods on a
fishing trip. There's so much darkness in rural America, and its always connected to drugs. Always.
