Security culture is a set of regulations or principles that are equally shared by everyone in

an organization. These values usually determine how people think and approach security. Having

a well-established security culture in an organization is the fundamental way to establish

awareness of the security workforce that will finally help in promoting the desired security

within the institution (Middleton-Leal, 2019). Having a sound security culture within an

organization helps to have active employees who will be fully engaged and take responsibilities

on security matters. It will also create awareness among the employees and reduced the risks of

security threats from the insiders. There are several ways to create security culture among the

include;

Establishing a healthy security culture within my organization. To build security culture,

one needs to feed and care that will foster its growth positively (Middleton-Leal, 2019). For one

to sustain a healthy security culture, four main aspects should be strictly considered. First, it

should be deliberative and distractive to foster change. Second, it should be engaging and

enjoyable for people to participate. Thirdly it should be rewarding to motivate participants.

Fourth, it should be able to provide returns for investors to increase investment and offering and,

at the same time, lower vulnerabilities.

Besides that, it is good to sensitize and instill the concept of security belongs to all of us.

Also, it is good to focus on the awareness and beyond that by being able to make a correct

judgment by applying security knowledge and get the depth of security threats (GENERAL

SECURITY, 2018). Additionally, it is advisable to establish a security development that will

involve checking the security requirements on how to carry out security and threats testing and

perform security modeling for a sustainable security culture.

Lastly is significantly advisable that give rewards to motivate ad to recognize those that

spearheading security principles. Importantly to note is that, establish and building community

security will provide connections and alerts to the organization in the event of security threats. It

provides (Howarth, 2015). perhaps making security fun, engaging ad enjoyable will assist a lot in

sustaining security culture. It is advisable to make the process the most exciting event to attract

all members if it may involve training.
