LEARNING PLAN

Week: 1 & 2 Learning Area: Religious Education
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of:
1. express their deep understanding of the life of Jesus and deepen their
desire to grow their faith in Christ
C. Learning Competencies / DOCTRINE:
Objectives Elaborate the four Gospel narration
Enumerate the formation of the Gospel
MORAL
Invigorates their life of prayer
WORSHIP
Attend live online masses
Share Biblical quotes in social medias
The teacher will ask some students to share their answers on the
class
The teacher will summarize the answers of the students in
accordance to the following concept about “Faith is a Gift”
B. Meaning Making The teacher will discuss and elaborate the topic, and then students will make
use of the activity below to clarify their learning.
Socratic Method
The teacher will discuss pages 4-5 on the textbook namely the New
Testament books through NT hunting
The teacher will pick four students randomly then ask them to choose
one box containing a picture of St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and
St. John
Let them describe and discuss about these people base on their prior
knowledge
The teacher will discuss the books of the New Testament found on
pages 4-5 on the textbook in order for the students to be more
familiar of the New Testament books and its significance on the
saving action of God towards humanity
The teacher will focus first on the Gospel books written by the
evangelist
Video Analysis
The teacher will let the students to see a video presentation about
the formation of the Gospel
Then, the teacher will ask the students the following questions:
- How do you find the processes of forming the Gospel?
- Did you ever experience some processes in your life?
- How relevant is the Gospel formation to your daily living?
The teacher will ask the students to share their answers to the class
and it will be summarized by the teacher based on the following
concept about “Gospel is the living Word of God”
The teacher will emphasized the reason why the Gospel were formed
C. Transfer To have an in-depth transfer of learning, the teacher will guide the students
as they cater the activities below.
Poster Making
The teacher will now group the students into four assigning them the
Gospel portrayals and symbols
The teacher will give time the assigned topic to the students
Let the students create a simple poster individually that illustrates the
uniqueness of the evangelists’ symbols and portrayals
Oral Recitation/Participation
The teacher will let the students to share their simple poster and they
will answer the following questions:
- How were the Gospel portraits formed?
- How complete is the portrait found in the Gospel?
- How does this particular Gospel portrait lead us to a greater
understanding of our Lord Jesus?
- Could another image of Jesus be proposed in each of the
Gospels? What other images would you propose?
The teacher will come in after students done in sharing to add, clarify
and elaborate the topic by stressing the following:
“Through their portraits of Jesus”

“Know Christ more clearly, love Christ more deeply and follow Christ more
closely”.
