This document contains three sections related to solving mathematical problems involving continuous growth and decay models, logarithmic functions, and optimization. The first section provides equations to solve involving exponential, logarithmic, and other functions. The second section lists word problems applying concepts of population growth, compound interest, and modeling disease spread. The third section presents optimization problems to determine the maximum profit from producing different items given resource constraints.

Resumen
The problems relate to continuaión solving models growth and ex-
ponential decay, applying their properties. Also applies properties the lo-
garithm function in solving equations.

1. Solve the following equations:

3x = e2

lnx = 2(ln3 − ln5)
e2x = a2

2. Problemas de Aplicación
An initial population p0 is growing so that after t a carriage road,
in hours, 3p0 = p0 e0,004t . find t

A sum of money C is invested at a certain interest rate. after then
15 years money has duplicate.¿what is the interest at the end of 20
years if the interest if and continuously compounded semiannually?
It is expected that t years the population of a certain country will
be P (t) = 50e0,02t million.
• What is the current population of the country?
• What will the population within 30 years?
How much money must be invested today at an annual rate of 7
percent compounded continuously, so that within 20 years its value
is of 1800000?
The daily production of an employee who has been at work t weeks is
given by a function of the form Q(t) = 40−Ae−kt . Initially producing
20 units per day, and after a week can produce 30 units a day. How
many units will produce per day after 3 weeks?
The public health records indicate that t weeks after the outbreak of
a rare form of flu, about f (t) = 3+9e6−0,8t thousands of people have
acquired the disease
• How many people had the disease initially?
• How many had acquired the disease past three weeks?
• If the trend continues, how many people in total will contract
the disease?
The money deposited in a bank is doubling every 10 years. The
bank consists the interest continuously. What annual rate of interest
offered by the bank?

3. Optimization
Some large stores to a responsible manufacturer pants and blazers.
The manufacturer has for the manufacture of 750 m of cotton fabric
and 1000 m of polyester fabric. Each trousers accurate 1 m and 2
m cotton polyester. For each jacket will need 1.5 m and 1 m cotton
polyester. The price of the trousers is fixed at 50 and the jacket in 40
. What number of pants and jackets must provide the manufacturer
to the stores so that these get a maximum benefit?
Assume that in the production of two types of containers,K and
L,used two machines M1 and M2. To produce a container K, M1
takes two minutes and M2, four minutes .Similarly,L occupies eight
minutes to M1 and four minutes to M2. The net gain to a container
K is 29 and for one L is 45 dollars. Determine the production plan
that maximizes the net profit.

M áxZ(x) = 151 +10x2 ; 2x1 +x2 ≤ 1500; x1 +x2 ≤ 1200; x1 ≤ 1500; x1 , x2 ≥ 0
