The Lagonoy Natural Biotic area was made a protected area through the E-NIPAS Act of
2018.
This 443.63 hectares of watershed area found in Lagonoy Camarines Sur, is filled with
secondary growth forest mixed with dipterocarp species of trees. Its rich forest with well-
regulated micro-climate is home to several rare, unique, and endangered wildlife. The
biotic area also provides a steady flow of clean water to people residing near the area.
Currently, several management activities and monitoring systems are in place to help
conserve the pristine and rich condition of the Lagonoy Natural Biotic Area.
