Trainers Methodology Level I: Maintain Training Facilities


Course Delivery: Online Learning

A. TECHNOLOGY PLAN

I. Course Design
a. Nominal Duration : 16 hours

Online Activities: 6 hrs & 30 mins.

b. Trainee Entry Requirements

• Graduate baccalaureate degree or equivalent training/experience along the field


of Technical Vocational Education and Training
• Certified at the same or higher NC Level in the qualification that will be handled
(for technical trainers)
• Able to communicate orally and in writing
• Physically fit and mentally healthy
• Proficient in quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Proficient in verbal reasoning
• Computer Literate

c. Trainer Requirements

• Must be a holder of Trainers Methodology Level III or higher/equivalent


qualification or training experiences*
• With at least five (5) years experience as trainer/teacher
• With good moral character
• Must be computer literate
• Must be physically and mentally fit
• Must be a holder of professional teacher license issued by PRC or equivalent**
• Must have 1 year industry experience***
*Equivalent qualification will be accepted only during the transition period
toward the Trainers Methodology Levels III and IV when there are few or no
holders yet of TM III and TM IV; this period will be defined by TESDA

**This applies only to schools prescribing the requirement


***Optional; only when required by the training

d. Monitoring and Grading System

Built-in LMS Monitoring System such as logs report, activity reports and grade book
will be used to monitor the attendance and learning progress of the student or
trainee. The activity tracker will be enabled for the participants to monitor their
own progress.

e. Institutional Assessment System

The following assessment methods shall be utilized in assessing the competency of


participants:

Portfolio Assessment – This refers to the outputs as requirements of competency


being assessed. This will be done as the participant progresses in his learning
activities per Learning Outcome. (Example: Task Sheets in the development site)

Computer-based Test – This is composed of multiple choice test given online. The
computer-based test shall be opened only to a particular participant scheduled for
assessment on a designated time. If the participant failed to take the test on the
designated time, he/she should notify the online mentor for another schedule of
test. To pass the test, the trainee should be able to get at least 80% of the correct
answers.

f. Training Plan/Schedule

The training of this competency shall run for 2 days (16 hours). A more detailed
breakdown of schedule, which includes learning activities, deadline of submissions of
outputs, and assessments shall be indicated in the study guide which will be
uploaded to the LMS (Moodle) or Google Classroom to serve as further guidance to
ensure completion of the program.

II. Training Package

A printed and digitized CBC for Unit of Competency: Maintain Training Facilities:
LO 1 Plan Maintenance Activities is prepared. The eLearning material is a
package consisting of web scripts, quizzes, interactive elements, task sheets with
performance criteria checklist. The institutional competency assessment is
composed of computer-based test on the LMS.

B. INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM

I. The Learning Management System

a. The TESDA Online Program Learning Management System (LMS) shall be utilized as the
training platform which can be accessed at www.e-tesda.gov.ph. Another LMS shall be used as
the hands-on development site which can be accessed at https://tesda.nephilaweb.org/

b. Type of connection: MOODLE v. 3.8, Cloud Server

c. Course Overview

This course is designed to enhance your knowledge, skills, positive attitude and work values as a
TVET trainer. This encompasses competencies required to maintain training facilities and
equipment. This starts the learning outcome on plan maintenance activities.

d. Help Features (Technical Support System) The following technical support are provided on the
LMS and Training Advisories:

• How to send Message
• Technical Support Groups using Facebook Messenger

e. Enrolment System

Students shall be manually enrolled to the LMS and shall be provided with their respective user
credentials.

f. Monitoring System for Learner’s Progress

The following built-in LMS monitoring tools shall be used in monitoring learner’s progress:
i. Activity Completion
ii. Participation Report
iii. Course Completion Report

g. Learner Support System

i. Trainer to Peer communication

Online mentors shall be online to respond to participants’ queries from 8:00AM to


5:00PM weekdays through the following mechanism:

i.ii. Instant Messaging: Respective Messenger Groups
i.iii. Discussion Forum: Can be accessed through the LMS

Description of Learning Resources

The following learning materials shall be used in the training:

• Interactive learning materials with self-checks – the interactive elearning materials were
developed by eTESDA Division. The elearning materials were bundled by learning outcome. The
elearning materials have the following parts:

1. Learning Objectives
2. Learning Contents
3. Interactive Learning Activities
4. Self-checks
5. Task Sheets with Performance Criteria Checklist and output templates are
downloadable from the elearning materials so that the task sheets maybe done
offline.

• Computer based exams – self -scoring computer- based self-checks and quizzes serve as practice
exercises for participants. They are made available per learning outcome.
• Sample outputs and templates for the required outputs – aside from the templates on the
elearning materials, sample outputs and templates maybe downloaded directly from the LMS.
• Submission Bins –uploading interfaces for particular outputs (e.g. study guide) are provided on
the LMS. The participants shall upload their outputs for trainer evaluation and download the
comments and suggestions of the online mentor through this interface. A notification email is
sent by the LMS both to the participant and the online mentor in case of submission to these
interfaces.
• Discussion Forum is where participants can communicate with other participants. This
component of the LMS is not a live discussion area but all enrolled participants will be able to
see all posts and replies. This component will encourage discussion of the topics being learned.
• Video Conferencing will also be done using the Google meet. Google meets will be recorded for
participants who failed to participate in the discussions.
