Key Responsibilities:

General Duties and Responsibilities:


• Implementation of Quality system and data management at initial stage
of the project.
• Material receiving inspection and Review of MTC, IRN, and supporting
documents, certificates as per code standards and Project
Specification/Requirements and coordinating with client inspector for
approval of material receiving certificates.
• Inspecting the material storage area and yard at regular intervals to
ensure materials are stored and handled properly to avoid any cause of
damage particularly stainless steel, copper nickel, valves and fittings.
• Ensure defective products are identified, segregated.
• Inspecting the consumables, flux and electrode storage and backing
oven and calibration certificates of those equipments.
• Selection of WPS for the project requirement and qualifying welder as
per WPS for piping and structure.
• Ensure welding parameter stated in WPS has been followed.
• Ensuring pre-heat, heat input & inter-pass temperature requirements
for CS with high thickness limits, LTCS & Alloy materials.
• Daily Monitoring the Production welding process, welder’s
qualification, visual inspection and electrode baking & holding oven
temperature controls as per the Project Procedure.
• Conduct actual visual inspection of piping welds as required by Project
ITP
• Make sound weld judgment (on visually inspected products) in various
mechanical/piping weld joints and to record and report non-
conformities
• Witnessing preheat and post weld heat treatment as per code
requirement.
• Inspection of coated pipes both ID & OD as per API 5L & FBE Coating.
• Conducting Failure mode and effective Analysis (FMEA) for any type of
incidents and failures related to quality statistical process control.
• Generating stage wise report for inspection.
• Preparing daily reports and documenting.
• Documentation maintained as per ISO Standards.
• Witnessing of the Testing activities (Pneumatic test, Pressure Test,
Vacuum Box Test, PMI, Ferrite & Hardness Test).
• Organizing and coordinating the NDT activities on tubular structures
and steel columns for lamellar defects and dimensional flaws and
ovality.
• Inspecting the joint preparation activities of internally and externally
FBE Coated pipes.
• Inspecting the root reinforcement limits of FBE coated pipes with
robotic machines and reviewing the results with client inspector.
• Coordinating NDT activities on bevel ends of vertical and longitudinal
brazing pipes before erection.
• Preparing reinstatement report before and after the hydrostatics test is
conducted. Reviewing and revising test packages.
• Reviewing and revising test packages.
• Issuing punch list and performing inspection as per punch items
completion progress.
• Checking dimensions, level, plumb, alignment and orientation of piping
spools.
• Witnessing flange alignment and bolt torque.
• Witnessing pressure testing(Hydrostatic & pneumatic)
• Ensuring Branch connection as per standard and specification
• Checking the punch listing items as per P & ID and isometric such as
pipe supports, valves, guides, shoe supports and NDT completion and
approving releasing packages for hydro-test.

• Inspection of stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, for acid pickling and
passivation

• Selecting joints of copper nickel for PMI testing.

• Inspecting the process lines for proper plumbing and alignment after
reinstatement completed.

• After completion of hydro test arranging all documents from sub


contractors inset package and submitting it to client.
• Final bench inspection, Mechanical testing, and dispatch activities up to
shipment.
• Preparation & Review of final QC Dossier for maintain proper filling
system and full traceability the documents.
