Time: 2:00 – 4:00 PM

Topic: M&E Template and Plan on School’s LDM Implementation

Number of Participants: 12
Facilitator: JENNIE J. CRUZ
Documenter: MARCELINO B. SURIO

What Transpired?
After the opening program the resource speaker oriented the SH regarding the
M&E Plan on School’s LDM Implementation. Mrs. Jennie J. Cruz, Principal II of Masuso
Elementary School, discussed the elements of M&E Plan with reference to wide-known models
for evaluation like that of Kirkpatrick’s and the Theory of Change (ToC). She also pointed out
the important reminders in designing M&E plan based on the needs of the school and the
locality. A shift from the current preferred learning modality to a more suitable LDM is also an
option in becoming responsive to the conduct of LDM implementation. PowerPoint presentation
was used effectively in her discussion. She gave concrete example as to how this M&E Plan can
address learning gaps and effectively sustain school capabilities level of experience, safety
status, learners’ progress and households’ active participation to offer quality learning. Q and A
portion was also actively done by the participants; this allowed clarifications, description for
possible solutions to foreseen problems that may arise in the M&E procedures.
For the activity output, Mrs. Jennie J. Cruz recalled the essential elements of
M&E Plan. She instructed the school leaders to describe these elements and how they can
monitor and assess these factors to determine the effectiveness of the implemented LDM. The
school leaders used the matrix/form to write down their answers. Output was submitted in the
office as LAC requirement.
