How Militarised Has Been Post-War Northern Sri Lanka?

The document discusses the militarization of post-war Northern Sri Lanka by examining the distribution of army divisions in the region. It notes that there are three army divisions headquartered in the Northern Province, five in the Wanni region, and three each in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu. The document questions why information about army formations in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu was removed from online sources. It also discusses how the army restricted access to former war zones and began shifting divisions into the region immediately following the end of the civil war in 2009.

b. It is curious that a printout of the List of Sri Lanka Army formations reveals the original information
which has been ‘’disappeared’’ from the online article a few years ago:
i. current online statement: References 3: Two Security Forces Headquarters established in Mullaitivu,
Kilinochchi Archived 2011-09-16 at the Wayback Machine
ii. printout says: References 3: Two Security Forces Headquarters established In Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi

print the article and see.

Please note that the war was over on 18 May 2009 and the following day warzone and the rest of
Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu were made out of bounds for the public and ICRC and shifting of army divisions
into the region began at once. Post-war PsyOps on the people by the Army had already been planned.

c. SFHQ-J website, http://www.cimicjaffna.com/ which had deleted News Archives 2010-2019, speaks of
heightened PsyOps and much more.

d. North began to be encircled with military camps after the 1961 non-violent Satyagraha by Tamils in front
of Jaffna District Secretariat against ‘’Sinhala Only’’ because N.Q.Dias,  the Prime Minister's Secretary,
thought that there would be armed uprising in 25yrs' time(  https://groundviews.org/2014/09/17/review-of-
