Software Upgrade procedure

For receivers:

Opticum HD X402p Globo HD X402p Orton HD X402p

Opticum HD X403p Globo HD X403p Orton HD X403p

1. Connect receiver to PC by RS-232 nullmodem cable. Switch off receiver.

Example of nullmodem cable:

2. Open Upgrade_RS232_Opticum_X403p_X402p.exe

3. Press Bowse button, and choose file with software.

Warning!!!

File must be in .abs format, if you downloaded it from internet, you might need to unzip it first.

4. Choose serial port which you are using.

5. Choose Upgrade Type

all sw + bootloader (software + loader) - to upgrade whole software image in receiver

all sw + channel list (software + channel list) – to upgrade both software and channel lsit

all sw (no channel list) (software with clean database)- to upgrade software with New clean
channel list

chanlist (only channel data) – to upgrade only channel database from software file

6. Leave Mode setting on UPGRADE

7. Press Next, you will see window as below:

8. Turn on receiver within 15 seconds, upgrade will start automatically.

9. During upgrade you will see progress as bellow:

WARNING!!!

DO NOT TURN OFF POWER DURING UPGRADE!!!

Wait until upgrade will be finished.

Disconnect receiver.
