Kathie Decruse’s Statement

My name is Kathie Decruse. I am a Forensic Scientist, currently working in the Police

Department of Pune. I have been working as a forensic scientist since 2002, after receiving
my PhD in Forensic Science from AIIMS.

On the 1st of November, 2017, Sub-Inspector S.R Jadhav and I left for the crime scene, after
receiving a phone call from one Mr. Pitter. On reaching the crime scene, I went ahead to
analyse and collect evidences related to the incident which occurred on the same morning.

I had collected hair fibre and blood samples from the crime scene. Fingerprint samples found
on bike were also collected for evidence.

On the 5th of November, 2017 I had conducted the post-mortem examination of the deceased,
Mr. Andrew. On thorough inspection of the body, I had concluded that the cause of death was
due to Hypovolemic shock, where the deceased had lost more than 20 % of his body’s blood,
making it impossible for his heart to pump and supply blood to the rest of his organs.
