BIOS Flash Guide

This document provides instructions for flashing a BIOS update in 3 different ways: 1. Using BIOS flash tools at the command line under DOS or Windows. This allows flashing via Afudos, Afuwin, or Afuwinx64 commands. 2. Using the BIOS flash tool within the system BIOS setup menu. This involves enabling a mode, copying the BIOS file to a USB drive, and selecting an option to start the flash. 3. Using a GUI flash tool called Afuwingui under Windows. This allows selecting the BIOS file, choosing flash options, and starting the flash process.

You can Flash BIOS under DOS ,CMOS Setup, or Windows. 

BIOS Flash tool at Command Line Mode 
AMI Afudos:   
Afudos    ‐‐  Under DOS 
  Afuwin    ‐‐  Under win32 
  Afuwinx64  ‐‐  Under win64 
 
Afudos/Afuwin/Afuwinx64 XXX.bin /p /b /n 
 
xxx.bin means BIOS ROM File. 

BIOS Flash Tool Under Setup 
1. Enter  “Flash  BIOS”option  under  Advanced  Screen,  Set  “Force  BIOS  Recovery  Mode”  to  “Enable”.  Follow  the 
instruction rename the BIOS ROM File (the one without “‐WithME”). For example, “H61‐MPD.ROM” in picture below: 
 

 
 
2. Insert the USSB disk into one of USB poorts on your mmother board d, Press “F4” oor select “Savve and Reset”.

USB disk successfully, it wiill directly ennter “Recoverry” screen a ffew minutes  after 
reset. Press tthe “Proceed with flash update” to begin the bios fflash process.
