Admission to all two year full time MBA programme
Batch 2020–22
Information cum Instructions for Provisionally Selected Candidates
1. The admission offer is provisional and subject to verification of certificates & mark sheets
of various examinations and documentary proof of relevant work experience (if any).
2. Original certificates should be produced for verification on August/ September 2020
(Tentative as per the schedule to be shared) or on the joining day of the Institute.
a. SSC (X) Mark Sheet & Certificate
b. HSC (XII) Mark Sheet & Certificate
c. Degree Certificate and All Semester Mark Sheet* by 31st December 2020 (tentative
or as prescribed by the UGC))
d. Mark Sheet / Certificate of Post Graduate / Professional Qualification (if any)
e. School / College Leaving Certificate
f. Work Experience Certificates / Documentary Proof (If Any)
g. Documents related to Achievements
h. Photocopy of CAT/CMAT/XAT/ GMAT Test Admit/Hall Ticket Card and Score
Sheet.
*The institute will accept the last semester and degree certificate at a later date if
the final examination has been delayed due to Pandemic Covid 19. Further the
candidature will be null and void if the student fails to clear the final semester or
get the requisite aggregate 50% in graduation.
3. Please note that if the candidate:
a. Fails to produce the documents listed above at Sr. No. 2, OR
b. The documents are not found in order, OR
c. Details given in the Somaiya Application Form, including the marks in various
examinations and documentary proof of work experience are not matching with
the original documents, the admission will stand cancelled and no refund of fee
will be allowed.
d. The Institute may verify the marks / degree certificates from the respective boards
/ universities / colleges and experience certificates from the respective
organizations. In case of any discrepancy the admission is likely to be cancelled at
any point of time during AY August -September 2020 to June 2022.
e. The Somaiya Vidyavihar University reserves the right to withdraw and cancel the
MBA degree if any documents are found to be forged and fraudulently submitted
by the student at the time of admission and thereafter during the course of the
program.
f. Provisionally selected candidates are required to submit an undertaking in
the enclosed format in Annexure I A through MyAccount portal.
4. In case, due to exigency of situation and / or orders from competent authority, the Institute
is required to change the above schedule or other parameters / rules, such changes will be
displayed on our website, which will be considered as final.
5. Please note that the Institute opens from 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 pm on all working days
except Sundays. Lunch time for staff is from 1 pm to 2 pm, for completing admission
formalities, allotment of hostel and mandatory Pre-Term Induction Programme.

7. Institute reserves the right to make changes in the schedule in order to streamline the
admission process.
8. Bank Loan Arrangements: Banks extend loan facilities for fee and living expenses to the
students admitted to our Institute (details of living expenses are available on our website). In
case the bank issues the Cheques / DD’s in favour of the Institute, the fee paid as above will
be refunded to the students. In case the bank requires a letter from the institute for the
purpose of education loan the institute will provide it.
9. Scholarships: The Institute provides scholarships to students based on their financial needs.
