MODULE 6: Using Mathematical Concepts

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-10:00 am - Wilbur Time Frame: 1 week

OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

 Use Operators blocks in Scratch to perform basic mathematical operation.


 Apply mathematical operation in Scratch.
 Use mathematical operations in Scratch.
 Learn the concept of concatenation.
 Learn the importance of living in harmony with others in the community.

Introduction:
Pre-assessment:
Direction: answer the following question, write your answer on Activity Answer Sheet given in
the last page of this module.

Guide Question:
 How can we create interactive programs with Scratch?
 Why is collaboration important?

Discussion:
Let’s Discover and learn more about Using Mathematical Concepts, read and understand the whole
contents on pages 48 – 54 of your text-book.

 Using un Cellphone QR Scanner


Let us scan the two (2) QR codes to know more about operators and variables in Scratch
given on page 56.

Practice Activity:
Direction: Use Scratch Apps to modify your maze output.
Refer to “Let’s Try This” activity 1 on page 54. Send your finish output file in our google classroom.

Performance task:

Direction: Apply what you have learned on this lesson.


Refer to “Let’s Do This” activity 2 and “Let’s Level up” activity 3 on page – 55 on your text book.
Send your finish output file in our google classroom.

Evaluation:
