The West Bengal Housing Industry Regulatory Authority Rugulations-2, 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred under section 6 of the West Bengal Housing Industry Regulation Act,
2017 (West Bengal Act XLI of 2017) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the West Bengal Housing Industry
Regulatory Authority (hereinafter referred to as the Authority) established under section 20 of the said Act vide
Notification No.l97-HIV/3M-ll/17 (Pt.) dated 30 th May, 2020 is hereby makes the following regulations to carry out
the purposes of the said Act :–
1. The registration granted under section 5 of the said Act may be extended by the Authority under section 6 of
the said Act read with rule 7 of the West Bengal Housing Industry Regulation Rules,2018 on an application as
per FORM-2 made by the promoter on payment of fees equivalent to the applicable fee for the grant of
registration of the same project and certificate for extension of registration of project shall be issued by the
Authority as per FORM-3 in cases of extension granted by the Authority.
This Notification shall come into force with immediate effect.

No. 1 of Regulations-2, 2020;
(ii) Authenticated copy of proposed Plan of the project showing the stage of development works undertaken till
date;
(iii) Explanatory notes regarding the stage of development works in the project and reason for not completing the
development works in the project within the period declared in the Declaration submitted in Affidavit in
Form'A' at the time of making application for the Registration of the project:-
(here state out the reasons);
(iv) Authenticated copy of the permission/approval from the competent authority which is valid for a period
which is longer than the proposed term of extension of the Registration sought for from the Authority;
(v) Self attested Photocopy of the certificate for Registration of Project; and
(vi) Any other information as may be required / specified in the regulations.

6. If the above mentioned conditions are not fulfilled by the promoter, the Authority may take necessary action
against the promoter including revoking the registration granted, as per the Act and the rules and regulations made
thereunder.
