This document appears to be a student's notebook for a series of books called the Magic Treehouse series. It includes a list of different Magic Treehouse book titles focused on adventures in history. The notebook also prompts the student to note similarities and differences between the main characters, Jack and Annie, and includes pages where the student can write about and illustrate their favorite Magic Treehouse book. Facts are provided about different time periods and locations featured in the books.

As you read through the Magic Treehouse books note the different characteristics of
Jack and Annie. How are they similar? How are they different?

Viking warships were
the best ships of
their times.
The Olympic Games
began in ancient
Greece over 2,500
years ago.
Late at night, on April
14, 1912, an ocean
liner was making her
first voyage across
the Atlantic Ocean.
In the early 1800s,
many different Native
American tribes lived
on the Great Plains.
A wild tiger eats
almost 5,000 pounds
of fresh raw meat a
year.
The biggest enemy of
the kangaroo is the
dingo, the wild dog of
Australia.
During the Civil War,
field hospitals were
set up quickly near
battlefields to treat
wounded soldiers.
Over 200 years ago,
the United States was
made up of thirteen
colonies ruled by
Britain.
Tornadoes, or
twisters, are common
on the prairie, so
many dugouts had
storm cellars.
In 1906, San
Francisco was the
biggest city on the
west coast of the
United States.
William Shakespeare
lived from 1564 to
1616. He wrote thirty-
seven plays.
The misty rain forest
in the mountains of
central Africa is
called a “cloud forest.”
In 1620, a group of
102 passengers
sailed from England to
America on a ship
called the Mayflower.
Hawaii is a chain of
islands in the Pacific
Ocean. The largest
island is Hawaii.
Jackie Robinson was
the first African
American to play
major-league baseball
in America.
My favorite book was
