FACEBOOK LIVE
(A STEP BY STEP PROCESS)
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
❑ When going live, make sure that you are using
a pc/laptop with built-in or installed camera.
❑ Google Meet must be opened in a separate
window/ browser so that it will appear in the
‘application window’ of the start sharing
feature of FB live.
❑ Avoid using earphones/headphones so that
your voice and the students voice can be
captured by the FB live.
On your private group, go to the discussion tab and click the box with
“What’s on your mind?” text.
Your screen will turn to what you see in the above image. Click the three dots
to see the other options.
You will now see the other options for FB post. Click the ‘Live Video’ button.
Screen Share
Button
Stream
Preview
Window
Scroll your tab down until you see the screen share button. Minimize the
stream preview window for easy access of the screen share button.
Click the ‘Start Screen Share’ button to see the different options for screen
sharing. On the upper portion of the screen, click the ‘Application Window’.
Among the options in ‘Application Window’, click the ‘Google
Meet/meet.google’ Window and then click ‘Share’ button.
Upon sharing your screen, you will notice that the ‘Start Screen Share’ button turns to blue
and turns to ‘Stop Sharing Screen’. This means that you are successfully sharing your screen.
Maximize the ‘stream preview window’ so that you can preview your FB livestream.
After clicking the ‘stream preview window’, you will be directed to the preview of your FB
livestream at the top of your screen.
At the bottom left corner of your screen, you can put a ‘caption’ and ‘title’ on your FB
livestream.
Click the ‘Go Live’ button.
