1. General Description

RS232 Camera is a 300K pixel camera with RS232 logic level output, which could
directly connect with GVxxx-Series device (with RS232 port) of Queclink.

3. Installation

3.1. Interface Description

There is 4-wire interface on Camera, and 2-wire input interface (wide input range:
10V-24V) and 2-wire output interface (the output voltage is 5V and the output current
is 1.5A) on Power Adapter. The description of the wires and sample connection
between Camera, Power Adapter and GV200/GV300 are shown as follows.

4. Message Format and Operation

Reference GVxxx @Track Air Interface Protocol.

5. Configuration

To configure the GVxxx device to work with the RS232 Camera, you need to use the
Manager Tool to setup the Serial Port Settings and the Camera Settings.

5.1. Serial Port Configuration

In the Manager Tool you need to configure the “Serial Port Settings” (in GV200
Manager Tool the section is “Second Serial Port Setting”)

<Working Mode>: The mode in which the Serial Port is going to operate. In this case set as
“Used for camera”
<Baudrate Index>: The supported baudrate of the serial port. Set to 115200.

Leave other parameters to default settings.

5.1. Camera Settings

Besides the configuration of the serial port, you need to configure the Camera
settings.

 <Camera ID>: The ID of the camera, always set to 0.

 <Number>: The number of pictures to take in one continuous shot. 1 to 10.
 <Photo Compression Ratio>: The compression ratio of the picture. Pictures quality
would be better with smaller ratio.
 <Digital Input ID>: The ID of the digital input to trigger photographing
 <Attribute Mask>: The attributes in the messages +RESP:GTPHL and +RESP:GTPHD
 <Interval>: The interval, in seconds, between two pictures in one continuous shot.
 <Photo Resolution>: The resolution of the picture
 1: 160*120
 2: 320*240
 3: 640*480
