Minimum value: It is the lower margin when we work on checkweigher mode (500 Range).
Maximum value: Upper margin when working on checkweigher mode (500 Range).
Piece weight (g): If the article is defined as piececounter this field is enabled to introduce the
weight per piece.
In the field Texts/EAN128 we can select what type of EAN128 we want to have in texts.
In the field EAN128 Format we can select one of the general EAN128 formats or create
new article EAN128 formats. Formats we create here will not be accessible from Data

Texts 11-20: (Maximum 24 characters by text)
49-MDFS000EN18 34
DFS
In the tabs Texts 1-10, Texts 11-20 and G Text there are three buttons to introduce the
characters New Line, Not centre and Concatenate:
New line: It can be inserted in any position of the text by pressing the button F1 or the
key F1 of the PC keyboard. It introduces a line jump (carriage return) in the position that is
inserted. It has the same behaviour in 500 Range and L Series scales.
Not centre: The character is entered in the first position of the text by pressing the
button F2 or the key F2 of the PC keyboard. It allows not to centre that text when the
configuration parameter centre text is enabled. It only has this function when it is inserted on
the first position of the text. If it is not, it will have the concatenate function. It has the same
behaviour in 500 Range and L Series scales.
Concatenate: It can be inserted in any position in the text but not on the first position.
It allows to concatenate a text with the next text, but only when in the label format those texts
are consecutive. Usually the character is inserted in the last position of the text.
In L Series scales only texts with codified ingredients are concatenated.
In 500 Range scales the next text that comes on the label format is the one that will
be concatenated (500 Range scales do not have codified ingredients).
Nutritionals
In this tab we can program the answers for each of the generic nutritional questions (to program
nutritional questions go to Texts Nutritionals, see paragraph 4.7.5 Nutritionals. Max. 14
questions/answers). The answers 1 and 2 can have up to 30 characters. The other ones can
contain up to 15 characters (including the tabulator character).

4.7 Texts
In the texts menus, we can register, edit or delete the fields of sections, traceability and receipts.
We can also create customers, send short messages or send nutritional texts to the scale.
In all available grids in these menus, it is possible to group, sort, etc. the columns. For more
information about grids, see section 9. DFS Grids.
4.7.1 Sections
In this section we can register, edit or remove the sections. Sections are the different parts that can
divide a shop depending on the different products existing on the shop. We can edit up to a
maximum of 99 sections. 11 sections can be accessed by direct key on the Range 500, and 4 in
D900 scales.

DFS
By default it is registered the section 0 and this parameter can not be deleted. This section is also
assigned by default to each scale.
To Add a section press the key . We know that we are registering an item because it will
appear in blue the word ADD.
In 500 Range scales we can set a direct key between 0 and 11 for the 12 sections we wish. For
D900 scales we can do this for 4 sections. In these sections, we can assign the different items of
each section to the PLU‟s direct keys, that is, if you press the direct key for the fish section on the
scale, in PLU 1 you will have a fish item and then, if you press the meat direct key, in the same PLU
1, you will have a meat item.
In addition, with the “Prefix” section, you assign a prefix to each one of the sections with direct keys
which allows easy access to the different items in the scale.

In DFS, in section 2, you program the 944 prefix.
With DGI/RGI, you send the prefix plus the 944123 item code.
This item is accessible in the scale by its code when section 2 is activated by entering the 123 item
code.

these ones will only be accessible from the Sections menu and Articles menu, not from the menu
Data Barcodes (this table can only contain 10 EAN13 and 1 EAN128).

The “AI Code” field allows you to add batches using EAN 128 codes. This code represents the batch so
that when you want to add batches of said class, said AI must display on the first block.
When an AI is read in the “AI for weight” field, the weight is recorded in the batch (“Entry weight” field).
For each question we have another field, that is, the AI which represents the question. When said AI is
read, the value read is saved as an answer to the question, or the corresponding one in the traceability
table.
Special AIs
It allows you to assign part of the value to the batch‟s answers, that is, you can indicate that a question
occupies position 1 of the value, another, position 2, etc.

This is the AI 950. The total value of this AI can be assigned or it can be assigned in parts. The
positions of the value that can be read are: 1, 2, 3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9.
49-MDFS000EN18 83
Manual
The button in the list of batches allows you to add batches by reading the EAN 128. Press this button to
open a window in which you will only need to select the class for which you wish to add the batch and
read the EAN 128. On reading, it seeks the AI of the batch of the class selected. If said AI is found in the
code read, the program will take the value of AI as a description of the batch. If said batch exists, the
program alerts you and will do nothing with it. If the batch does not exist, the program will continue to
seek the AIs of the questions and will take the value of the AIs for the answers. There are 5 seconds for
reading parts of EAN 128 as it may be divided up. If the program finds all the AIs of the class, it will save
it automatically. If it finds the weight AI while reading the codes, it will save it together with the batch.

Sending:
Clients are sent through the instant sending that is in the client list. After completing the shipping, a
client request will be done to the scales to find out what clients does each scale have and to represent
them in the scales tree.
Receiving
It is possible to add new clients received from a scale (only from 1 scale). This should be done enabling
the parameter “Import clients” of the scale. Only one scale can have this parameter at “YES” and only
clients received from that scale will be added to the Data Base. If a received client does not exist, it will
be created. Else it will be updated. When we receive clients from a scale, the name of the client on the
scale is saved in the association table. This way we can see the real clients that scale has,
independently if we modify or not them in DFS.
Creation/Deletion
The field “Active” defines the state of a client. If it is checked, the client will be added when we do
shipping. If it is not checked it will be deleted on the next shipping.
